"To be honest, I’m not happy with Audi. We asked for a test in the summer break, and we didn’t get a reply. Here, JAS have six people with M1RA, Volkswagen have three people, SEAT have ten people – every brand has people here as they want to be at the front, and with us, we have only one person, and that makes me think about the situation." He is right. You can't expect to win championship just because you are Audi Sport. I would believe more in Jaguar if they decide to enter BTCC or TCR with XE, even if they aren't racing for more then 10 years, then Audi with all of their success. |

Nice race 1.
Shame about Homola and Oriola. They need to change BoP, Alfa is unbeatable on straight. |

Thanks for posting link to TCR Mark , they were a couple of entertaining races . Almost made up for not going to Thruxton today ! Regarding the Alfa's straightline speed , isn't the essence of motorsport that different cars have different strengths . The B.O.P. to me seems pretty good at the moment , with Alfa , Honda , Opel , SEAT , Audi and VW all running in the top ten .

Why spend time developing a good car, when you can have a bad car and just be allowed to run with a rocket instead of an engine.
Both the Alfa and Opel run at higher outputs. We've seen also season long that the Opel was even struggling with the amount of power they were allowed to use, belching black smoke out of the back, punctures, accusations etc. and the Alfa bounces, skips and understeers around every corner. Just one win all season – of which was a reverse grid – for a Seat tells the story... |

In many ways I agree with you Bob - as a purist I would love to see the best car/driver combination on the day win . However I can remember the eighties and the way the BTCC and ETCC effectively ended with each class becoming dominated by one make and history has a habit of repeating itself .
B.O.P. isn't perfect but until something better comes along , I prefer TCR's solution to the BTCC where silhouette cars are not even necessarily powered by an engine from the manufacturer's range - an Alfa Romeo powered by a TOCA engine ! Whatever next ? |

Secondly, the Alfa in TCR doesn't run an engine that you can get in the production model either. |

Astra is only car that run on 95% of engine power.
And how do you mean Alfa doesn't run with engine from production model? They use engine from Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde. And I think that SRO BoP would be perfect. Split tracks in three categories and run different Bop for different track. Since now they frozen technical regulations this isn't hard to introduce. Audi and Honda can't race with so much kg on short twisted tracks. Just look at STCC. |

Race 1
Shame for Homola. After the disastrous qualifying a good result for Borkovic. The swap Michelisz - Tassi didn't really work. I think Michelisz waited to long, should have tried it earlier in the race. For the rest it was a great race. I did not yet see race 2. |

Race 2 was also entertaining. Hopefully TCR returns to Thailand next season.
