Volvo won this championship in 1986, and won Bathurst in 1998. Volvo S60 bodied cars also gave GRM & McLaughlin race wins in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Sounds like they have made a few good cars.

Walkinshaw have won races justabout every year, but haven't challenged for a championship... but who has other than T8 or PRA since 2011?

Stone Brothers challenged every year.

That's the thing, Volvo have made a car that can race, but what about reliability and then the street cars they make a terrible.

The article with James Golding leaving the Dunlop series

From the looks of the article it seems like Shae Davies may become entering as a wildcard as well. I would assume that he would be in a 3rd Erebus entry if this was to materialise in the VF chassis he was in last year, according to Supercars.com's article the Klimenkos have been instrumental in this deal with MW happening.
Can someone explain how the klimenko's have anything to do with this? The only mention of them is last season, nothing about this season in the Nissan. Please explain.

Read this it explains more, it's seems from the way the article is written the Klimenkos are providing some backing for Shae in what capacity I don't know however

Erebus has backed MW for a while, I remember back in 2015 seeing Erebus backing on the cars as well as MW on it

Nothing to do with Erebus.

They were only mentioned, for the sake of puffing out the story.

They kicked the can for JLB, as part of the "Erebus Academy" thing.

Really that would be interesting but I have some doubts about that LOCO are an Erebus sponsor correct?? Maybe they helped him lock that deal in and that's it.

When did the Stone Brothers ever challenge for the Championship after 2005?

How does any of that correlate with Volvo being "spastics" and responsible for Golding not getting a drive?

The street cars only look terrible in your opinion.

While Mr Davies says he doesnt have a Pirtek Enduro Cup seat, you might imagine Mr Davies may end up in Mr Wood's #4 Erebus Commodore

See someone's signature on the C pillar?

Well spotted there was also a rumour on speedcafe of him running a wildcard I would have to say erebus seems like his most destination if it does materialise

Is it not a little ridiculous that a driver like Andrew Jones is prohibited from competing as a wildcard?

Ah, I see.

The story previously linked to this jaunt, did not mention the Betty connection.

What's stopping him using expanding on his existing deal with MWM to run the Nissan as a wildcard, like Mr Lebrocq is doing?

How is he prohibited is it due to his experience and they only want rookies or younger drivers for wild cards or what?

More cost-effective to run two cars.

You don't necessarily need double the equipment or personnel.

I don't know the reasons, i'm just working off this quote from Brad Jones in this story
http://www.supercars.com/news/champi...ards-macauley/

Quote:
“We’ll only have one driver who is eligible and that’s Macauley and it’s our intention to do some wildcard events for him,” Brad Jones told Supercars.com.
