Without a doubt.Additionally,I doubt whether the ICE's in Nasr's or Raikkonen's cars will form part of the years allocation-or am I just cynical in these matters.

I agree it's a bit odd - generally size zero is not a good thing - "too thin" springs to mind. Along with all the body image issues that are associated with size zero it's an odd angle to go for.

Tbf, I think most people can separate a size zero car from a size zero person.

Are 'coke bottle' rear ends linked to tooth decay and heart disease?

And if they can't, well, the McLaren is incapable of actually doing anything so it acts as something of a warning.

True - but you wouldn't use the hashtag #hitler to describe a team that "get's things done" (can't remember who it was used that description of Hitler but you get the point).

No - but it's lawsuit waiting to happen for trademark infringement

Not entirely true - they are capable of putting a positive spin on the fact that they done less mileage than anyone else and are doing a good job of ending Hondas reputation for building reliable engines VTEC have never had an engine failure you know....

Both Kimi and Seb seem happy with the car. Both the Ferrari and the Sauber are going well. This is a promising start. They must have used all their engine tokens already! But I expect Mercedes will unleash their true potential at the next testing session, and the result will be depressing for fans wishing to see a battle between differently coloured cars this season.

Sauber where running low on fuel to do those times and Ericsson ran out of fuel in his last run. (no really, he did)

I don't doubt it Steve! Its early, and its testing, etc etc. But its still a nice start for them. I have been reading 80 hp more for the new PU. But another 50 hp for the Merc. That would put them something like 0.5 s behind the Mercs in reality. We'll see....

Force India are now saying their 2015 car probably won't be ready for the second test and will run the 2014 car instead. I guess the "learning opportunities" in the 2014 car suddenly got better...

lol Not surprised to hear Ericsson run out of fuel. Was pretty obvious that Sauber was doing what it could to attract sponsors. Never forget Prost in 2000 (?)....

Still, though - that's a good amount of laps clocked up by the team, i'll give them that. That can't be a bad thing.

It's pretty safe to say that with only 18 cars on the grid, the team won't have another 'point'less year if they can clock up that kind of mileage.

And they do have one competent driver, at least.

So the burning question is: are Ferrari really that quick or are they cooking the books to look good?

Based on past years when they were in a similar state of structural chaos and trouble, they are probably
a) running underweight
b) running an engine that wouldn't pass scrutineering
or
c) both

The cars have to be legal to run in testing these days, so I doubt its anything as blatant as that.

Remember Red Bull had to go to Jo Bauer and get permission to run without the front wing on the car.

The vibes seem to be good at Ferrari. They have almost certainly come on in leaps and bounds but, let's face it, they couldn't fail to really.

Of course, now the stage is set for the cigarette man and the Red Bull runaway to claim the credit.

Alonso will be somewhat hacked off I imagine.

I want them to be quick, but with Mercedes seemingly on cruise control (much alike 2014), I can't help but feel they'll be about where they were last year - ie. middle of nowhere. Not at the front, not at the back.

With Kimi being on top of the timesheets, looks like he is well on his way to be the 2015 F1 champion.
