Licence to Thrill - Paul Hollywood Meets Aston Martin
For anyone with access to BBC2 on TV or online (or who can spook a UK IP address) there is currently a program about part-time baker, part-time presenter and middle-aged housewife heartthrob Paul Hollywood and his obsession with Astons. There is a fair amount of Le Mans content, which makes sense as this is main racing tradition for the marque. The program shows Paul obtaining his race licence, racing in GT4 and culminates in Paul participating in the Aston Martin festival. There's also a hefty amount of James Bond (obviously) but that's neither here nor there as far as I'm concerned.
Not sure if it will be to anyone's tastes here but it's unusual to see anything Le Mans on terrestrial television so I thought it worth a mention. I know Paul's done something with RLM before in their "Inside Aston Martin" feature so it isn't without precedent. |

Pretty reasonable and largely accurate.
Do I remember something about a lurid spin at the Le Mans weekend for PH (not covered in the programme) - or am I imagining it ? |

It's on the iPlayer right now. If you're looking for the repeat, that should be next Sunday (October 11th) at 7:00pm, BBC2 again but not in Scotland & Wales.

Just watched it on the i player and it was very good, highly recommend that if you have not seen it yet you put aside an hour and enjoy

Me too. It was very good. Mind you, if you knew nothing about Le Mans and weren't listening carefully, you could have thought he was racing in the main event and that Le Mans was all about GTs.... He seemed to do pretty well though
 (And why was he '....waiting all my life' to be at Le Mans? I only wait a year to be back there again.....

I think I read somewhere that he might be doing British GT4 next year in the Beechdean Aston.
