The decisions at Audi regarding to Vanthoor's carreer should be independent of the titles, time ago should have signed a setp forward for next year, according to the season stats at august, when he had more than a race points of gap.

He and Frits van Eerd must be doing some groceries shopping at Jumbo getting ready for Le Mans next year!

(Jumbo is one of the largest grocery store chains in Holland and owned by Van Eerd and his family.)

Mies replaces Vanthoor in the #1 car while Thiim joins Vervisch in the #2.

Very smart damage-limitation moves. Mies' results have been masked all season by his teammate, while Thiim is one of, if not the, fastest GT driver over a single lap.

Still rooting for HTP to pull the upset, the mighty WRT have got too many titles already.

Don't even think that's practically posible, minimum for the GT3 machine, avoiding the fact GT3 machinery is not homologated for road driving, and moreover probably they will get stuck at the entrance ditch of the famous supermarket due the low height of the front Splitter.

Maybe Double parking you where speaking of?

Frijns beaches it at T1 on the first lap. Trying to go round the outside of Siedler (who beat him at the start, as did Buhk and Thiim...) and spun the Audi. He's been pulled out of the gravel but from dead last it's hard to see how the #1 can win the championship over today and tomorrow.

Looks like a good day just got better for HTP!

Maybe Vanthoor can still be champion, if Frijns doesn't score.
He certainly is doing his part for that scenario to realize

Rinaldi Ferrari gets pinged for its pitstop (not in control of the wheels).

Meanwhile Szymkowiak, Mies and Abbreu are having a great time behind Walkinshaw.

I fell asleep just after the pit stops (in my own defence it had been a long beer filled day haha) but awoke just as HTP rounded the final corner to win and grab the championship lead by one point. Today's main race should be a cracker.

I'm surprised they didn't bring a spare with them. That's a massive shame. Was hoping for a good result to help with a solid end to the championship.

Field almost down to single numbers after a start line crash.

Some weirdness with the FCY/SC caused HTP to lose the lead and an awful lot of confusion.

Great to see HTP letting off the fire extinguishers during the podium, they did it at Bathurst last year

That was a good end to the championship. Excellent work from HTP to snatch what was a sure Sprint Cup from the #1 only a fortnight ago. Frijns did his part chasing the Bentley for the whole stint and takes the GT Series title.

I reckon Thiim could have had Buhk if WRT wanted to play that game, but thankfully they didn't.

I was thinking the same thing, Thiim, as expected, was the fastest guy on track. Glad they didn't try to get him to play bulldozer, and overall, credit to WRT for always spreading their best drivers, they have so damn many (Vanthoor-Mies this year or Rast-Vanthoor last year would have just dominated).

One of the best performances Frijns has had this year, though one would expect that since it's his home race. Good ending that almost makes you forget the atrocious start/re-start from race direction.

Very happy that HTP got one today after Buhk got screwed out of both the sprint and overall titles last year. But it was an eye-opening season from Abril, who I previously assumed was just a decent pay driver, but was arguably stronger than his teammate the past few races.
