Fine as in present, yes, fine as in competitive? I really doubt it. 888's main sponsor is Tesco, who are currently in a financial mess, and sponsoring motorsport will be waaaaaay down the list of priorities for 2015 and going forwards. And TD's main sponsor after Honda UK is Yuasa, which is pretty much in bed with Honda (new Hondas come fitted with Yuasa batteries), I don't see them willing to step up to the plate and finance a team.

Both would need a major UK brand to underwrite a team for a title shot, like ebay does with WSR and Airwaves with Motorbase.

Of course they would, or they would drift back into the mid pack just as they have before when they lost either big sponsorship or manufacturer backing (ie Dynamics in 2009, 888 in 2010/11).

Honda are, currently at least, making positive noises about next year, and after all they have the new Type-R to promote. On the balance of probability I suspect they will still be around. MG on the other hand - it was a three year deal, and if they win the constructors as it looks like they will I can see them saying "job done" and calling it quits, and given the deep doodoo that Tesco appear to be in at the moment - who knows if they will continue.

Don't forget though - that Tesco/888/MG deal was basically put together by Plato with his marketing company, just as he did with Silverline/RML/Chevy previously. Nothing to say he won't do the same again, either with another manufacturer and/or big sponsor. Love him or hate him, he seems to have a knack for getting a deal done...

Sorry to double post, but just seen this on Autosport - http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/116090

Gow/TOCA looking to increase the success ballast next year, as the current level of ballast has a reduced effect on the heavier NGTC cars, and also get rid of the in-season boost adjustments (which I think we'd all agree with!)

I don't agree with heavier cars. The cars are already overweight as it is.

I like the fact it has less effect now! I think giving more ballast makes the races too artificial.

I guess TOCA want a certain amount of artificial-ness - get rid of boost tweaks and give more ballast.

My guess is no.

He could still lose 10th place in the standings. And he is only just behind Smith, and i think beating his teammate would be more attractive than the JST.

I don't think Menu will care much for the John Smiths Trophy. Why would he be proud of making the most comeback drives from being punted off or breaking down?

Changes planned for Church corner at Thruxton.

To be implemented over the next few winters - seems the general plan is to make the run-off a little larger, including Armco and tyre walls, and most notably to change the gradient from decline to incline away from the track.
