Has anyone heard any rumours linking Soucek to F1 in 2010? He has his test with Williams at Jerez tomorrow, but Spanish websites are speculating he might sign with a new team (connected to a certain Mr Branson) next year...

Everyone from Pizzonia to Max Chilton has been linked with Virgin, but the truth is right now di Grassi is highly likely to sign for them

He's had his helmet painted in Williams colours, so surely that signals a long term commitment to the team?

Certainly not done his chances any harm at the test today.

Good stuff from Soucek, and Di Resta too for that matter. Someone give that man a drive in F1!

Since his time in F.Ford he had a reputation for crashing.

His repuation for crashing stems from his infamous Snetterton weekend in 2003 when he was racing for Comtec. He crashed his car in all 3 races, it cost something like 30K! This was the biggest of the 3 that weekend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG5hJxomhmo

He's quick though, no doubt about that. He set the 3rd fastest race lap in his Champ Car debut behind only Bourdais and Tracy, after making a giant leap from F3. Be interesting to see him in F2.

Soucek and Kane doing development work on 2010 car. Other than that some very underwelming names there, including GP2 chicane Teixeira.

I wonder if the absentees of many of the 2009 grid is because they're moving on, or because they already know the car so don't feel the need to test it again.

Have to agree, on the whole that's not a particularly impressive field. I was hoping the strength in depth would increase after the first year, but if this is a portent of the season entry to come, F2's critics will have a field day.

I don't think 2009 drivers would have a lot of advantage to test now, the drivers who tested aren't that bad

Jokinen came from Euroseries and Bailly won the Formula Academy Euroseries

I do not think anyone is refering to Bailly or Jokinen, rather to backmarkers from Euro FR or FPA or the 15 year old karter who makes his debut in single seaters in F2. Frankly since they priced almost 10k a day for their test, this poor turn around was hardly unexpected.

No Felix Rosenqvist, thats a shame. Maybe he will do a test later if there are more tests before start of the season.

Great to see Ivan racing again after missing the whole 2009 season. He has talent and I bet he'll do well in F2.
