Giz with Corkery, now theres a mismatch made in heaven.

i heard on another forum that all of the V8SC guys that drive fords are potentially pulling out because the ST is essentially a GM product....which is bollacks anyway as they all run a ford 9" diff! But i have not heard that on here so was wondering if it was just some stirring?

Initially there was talk of Frosty, Will Davo, Holdsworth, Giz, Coulthard, Alex Davo but i'm not sure where its at right now.

What i'd like to see is:

Jonny Mac/Will Davison
Steve Richards/ Mark Winterbottom
Murph/Coulthard (we known that one will stick)
Reid/Shane van Gisbergen (would love to see that combo)
Pederson/Patrizi (and yes i know is a holden driver in a ford, but this is my wishlist!)
Baird/Holdsworth
Booth/Johnathon Webb (someone from tekno anyway)
Andy Knight/Alex Davo
Kayne Scott/????
McGlaughlin/ Daniel Jilesen (although i'm pretty sure that wont happen)

And after that i get kinda stuck!!

But in all seriousness, are we likely to see the onslaught of SuperCar drivers for the enduros as was hinted at the beginning? I'm asking because i just don't know

Good selection here and wish list NZSTfan, I agree that it's going to be very interesting come the enduro's. I note you have Kayne Scott / ????,
I think his co driver is very obvious, but I could be wrong.

That makes sense, i.e. Scott with Evans. Will be interested to hear who Johnny's partner is. With this in mind it may be true then that the big-card aussie drivers are not going to play a major role in the enduros (that is the FPR guys).....which is a blow to the series IMO

perhaps some of the v8SC team owners who pay the wages of the top half of the field would want a reasonable(in aussie terms) fee to let 'their' drivers race over here.
i guess if i was paying my boys $500k a year i would not allow them to swan off and race for free or very little in NZ....would any employer ??..
still it opens the door for a few other talented steerers to get a chance i guess..

My enduro pairing is as follows.

Promax / Mr Revhead. Two hard chargers who never know when to give up.

Cappelli / Brown Dog. Always good for a low blow these two.

Blueblood / Garth Tander. Driving the wheels off the VE and loving it.

Smokin'Joe / Ugy. As normal always a yard off the pace.

Southern Man / Inky Tullock. Wonder if these two will fit into the same seat.

Icarus / Roger H. These two should win by a country mile, because their
posts are the only posts worth reading most of the
time.

I will unfortunately not be running, as my crew tell me that it is far to hard to get my head into the car.

I believe Mr Woolley will be driving the pace car for this round, no doubt we will be talking again soon.

Hankook withdrew my intention to enter, something about wearing the rears out to quickly

was of the impression Mr Woolley was race director, and you were gonna being 'driving standards observer' ??

At one point half the internationals from the GC were allegedly going to come across .. I suspect the reality that is "professional drivers ask for professional dollars" and we're not going to see the massive influx of superstars that some may have suggested.

That said, while I think it is a bit of a blow marketing wise, but I think there's probably enough handy drivers around the traps that'll be more than able to foot it with the regular drivers (I'd politely suggest that there's probably more than a handful outside of the series who'd easily as quick, if not quicker than a lot of the regular boys).

I heard Edgell was still looking for a drive as well promax, I would have to say he would be high on the list if people want a driver with speed.

Who is looking to drive with Fogg?

It would be interesting to see just how fast Edgell would be, as he will not be driving a car with the huge horse power advantage he had in the NZV8 series.

Enjoyed both of those. Happy with Chief Flag - you don't want to annoy the Clerk of Course!

By now I would thought that youy would have realised that Kiwi's do no take notice of any type of flag signal but they do respond very well to a bit of laughter.

How come all the North Island knowledge groups have not picked up om Jono Lester co-driving for Johnny Mac in the Enduros.

Because NZSTfan, told us that Will Davison was running with Jonny Mac, I refer you to post 5 on this thread.

To be honest what I have said is only an excuse, I am guilty, when did this come about? I hope Jono does well and shows everyone just how good he can be.
