IMPORTANT NOTE:
I have not seen an official entry list yet, but it was my understanding that: 1. Milka Duno amy not be entered this weekend. I think that Townsend Bell will be driving the road courses for D&R, and 2. Ernesto Viso may not be able to race this weekend due to the damage from his late race accident at Homestead. They do not have a backup car and spare parts are in short supply. Keep checking the IndyCar site for an entry list. If you picked someone who is not entered, let me know who you want to select to replace those drivers in your picks. |

NOTE TO ALL:
Townsend Bell will drive for D&R this weekend instead of Milka Duno on the road course, as I suspected. Red Bulldog: Please sned me the name of another competitor for your "Slowest Qualifier" and I'll edit the change for you. |

The league has altered its qualifying procedure because with the added car count, they don't have time for 26 cars to do individual runs. What this means to us is that the "just missed" should now be the 7th fastest driver in the final session before the firestone fast 6.

Your picks were about 2 hours late, Bootsontheside....
I run the contest , and it is my opinion that a deadline is a deadline...which will be explained later in this post. But I'll let the contestants weigh in on whether or not you can get in. I cut off the entries when the first practice session begins, because it would give others an unfair advantage, and it also would give everyone a baseline from which to pick...thus everyone would pick the same people and the contest would be boring...there is ample data from the past at each of these events on Indycar.com from which to make selections and educated guesses. But I just run the contest, so I'll let others share their thoughts. To Those Who Entered on Time: Please do it via PM...I don't want to put anyone on the spot. But I do this for fun, and it should be for fun fr you, too. Just let me know and I'll make a ruling.... |

I have heard from a number of contestants, Bootsontheside, and unfortunately, I cannot allow your picks for this weekend, since they were past the deadline and it would provide an unfair advantage.
