Thundersports should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Mallory Park

Reading Motorsport News today I see Mallory is proposing a new Rallycross circuit, lets hope it happens as Mallory is always a welcoming venue.

Good news if it comes off - the more venues the better. Is there a proposed circuit layout shown?

There's a brief mention of it on the Mallory website:

There is in the paper the proposed circuit integrates the hairpin which should make things interesting........

Good news, nice to see they're recognising the strength of rallycross in Britain too.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results, hopefully it will fill the gap left by Anglesey a couple of years ago.

Yes, this has been talked about for a month or so. It's been announced in the local Nuneaton papers so I assume construction work is now going ahead. John was reported as saying it was being built because he felt rallycross in the UK was on the up - a good sign that circuit managers are beginning to take the sport seriously again.

Excellent news on this and hopefully Teesside Autodrome will take off and better to see a choice of new rallycross circuits as opposed to the older usual tracks

The rallycross circuit is a work in progress at Mallory. A meeting is scheduled for this year, perhaps two, but as yet no definite dates.

I would really love to see pictures as i have a slight idea of where abouts it is. Would i be right in saying its going to be either connected to or acctually on the section behind the hairpin. I have noticed there has been a real clean up of old machinery.

Can't remember where I read it (useful huh? ) but I'm sure the rallycross track does use the hairpin, there's a thread about Mallory in the Marshals forum and that's got a couple of piccies of the circuit with work being carried out - so if you know the Mallory circuit (I don't) you may be able to deduce the layout from those.
