GPL and Force Feedback

Quick question gentlemen,

I've got a Thrustmaster Ferrari Force Feedback wheel that is ostensibly for the PS2. It does work with the PC, and is perfect for a NASCAR 2002 demo that i had, including full force feedback effects.

With GPL (which is the only game that matters to me!) it works, but is lacking force feedback.

I have GPL version 1.201 (i think) and i thought that this enabled force feedback.

Is there anything else i need to download?

In your Core.ini, there should be a setting that says something like allow force feedback. It will be set to 0. Change it to 1 and FF will work.

You'll find your core.ini in your C:\Sierra\gpl folder (or your equivilent, depends on where you installed gpl)

If you don't have a core.ini, one should have come with the OpenGL patch, not sure if you get one with D3D if you use that.
Anyway, if you have no core.ini, you should at least have a core.ini.sample that you can rename to core.ini

(Go to Tools>folder options>view tab and uncheck "hide known file extensions" if you are unsure whether your file is a straight ini file, or an ini.sample file)

Thanks for that pirenzo!

As soon as I get my wheel back, my degree is in serious danger!

If you haven't got a core.ini at all, any one of us can post the contents for you. You only have to create it with notepad after all.
