Shame S'pore isn't on the calendar again. I really liked the nighttime race 1/daytime race 2 contrast (both pretty races) and the circuit seemed to suit these cars.

I remember reading Lotti wanting to put the WTCC at Monaco back in 05. Now he's finally got Tin Tops racing there, should be fun

Not sure this is the right spot for this but-

GT Open have just hinted pretty heavily that they will be accommodating TCR in some way next year.....

Perhaps an individual series, or in with the GT3s

Not sure there's much point either way?

Except that GT Open grids have been pretty hopeless this year. They may regard TCR cars as padding.

I don't think they'll add the TCR cars to the GT-field. There have been some rumors about Seat ending their European one make series, which has been running in conjunction with GT-Open at most races last year. I could see GT-Sport taking over the running of that series and opening it up to additional manufacturers.

GT-Sport just posted an Instagram picture of the Audi RS3 LMS TCR.... Saying news soon...

I figure you're right, they will put together a TCR only support series to their GT Open races.

However I can't see the need with so many national series.

Eh, if Seat doesn't continue the one-make series that'll mean quite a number of orphaned teams. Not all will stay put, but it should be a healthy base for a European series.

so TCR announced it on their calendar and hadn't even spoke to the Monaco organiser about it!

very very dumb behaviour from TCR. bad for their credibility.

I'd be careful at just taking one side at its word.

such an important club like that would not put out a very clear statement like this and go out of their way to say it if it was just untrue;

"No contact has ever been made between TCR International Series and the Automobile Club de Monaco"

I'm not saying that. However, your assumption is their statement means the race won't happen. Strangely enough, ASNs don't have absolute authority - especially in respect of F1 events.

well let's see if TCR do take it off their calendar and Bernie hasn't saved it.
because if they do then they've taken a huge credibility hit.
