Behind Tony Strawson Capri. Is the Yellow car John Turners Skoda? which was sponsored by Skoda GB.
Tony Strawson also raced a Chev Corvair v8.

I think this is Dave Millington in the Brook Hire 2.3 Firenza in '75.

Many, many happy memories Andrew. Thanks for these.

I'm trying to remember who took on "Baby Bertha" from Gerry Marshall. She never seemed to go quite as well when she left his care.

Poignant to see a picture of poor Nick Whiting. Always one of my favourites as a child, it was more than a shock when he disappeared.

Yes, it was a shock about Nick. Several years ago now though. Interestingly, Anthony Davidson's father (Dennis) was involved with the Strawson Capri.

I think this may be Arthur Collier. Not certain. Car is entered by Derek McMahon who was Derek Daly's backer in his early days.

I think it was Paul Haywood-Halfpenny who still races classic saloons and historics now.

Thats not the DFV. Walter had a yellow 1, the car pictured is another Robertson from Scotland.

The Skoda pictured was powered by a Capri GA motor.I think Walter Robertsons Skoda had a BDA motor prepared by Colin Bennett Racing.

The VW Beetle 5000cc Chevy at Donington in 1982. Not sure who the owner / driver was at this time.

Only a small image I'm afraid - but one of my all time favourites from way back then - the Colin Hawker DFVW. And his Capri wasn't half bad either!

Tattoo should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
First post on this board, so a big hello to everyone.

I have always been interested in Special/ Super Saloons, and have searched with Google and found a few sites that feature these cars.

A lot of the pictures in this thread i haven't seen before, can anybody supply links or url's to the sites these pictures were found on, (if they weren't scanned in)

Thanks in advance
