Sugo

Well, I was wrong in that the Japanese wild cards did not dominate the races and they were quite interesting, and the battle at the front has edged slightly closer thanks to the results.

Edwards win in the first race was the first by a non-Japanese since Corser in 95, but someone will have to tell me if I'm wrong.

Tamada took the second relatively comfortably although did have stiff competition from Hodgson for much of the race.

Bayliss still leads the points table (as if he wouldn't) but the gap has been decreased to 45 points and the streak is now over.

Nitpick time. Edwards cut the Bayliss lead to 24 points with his first and second place finishes. The 45 points was the lead going into the weekend.

It was nice to see Edwards get good starts in Sugo as his poor starts have been a big problem in the previous races. Hopefully this weekend is an indication that Colin can make the season more interesting than the first 6 races suggested.

is Edward overated?! Tamada could overpass him in race 1 if no team order. he said no team order in an interview, but i suspect there was... he was constanly slower than Rossi and barros in suzuka 8 last year on the same bike.
and his way of answering an interview by suzi... it's just only me, thinking this maybe.
