What is the point? That programme in isolation is meaningless!

It sort of ended without conclusion to me, Didn't even bother with the race.

I assume there must be some sort of 2nd part to it.

I recorded the 1975 Intenational trophy at Silverstone and also the 1975 British GP programs and I just got round to watching them this afternoon. I'm glad I bothered to trawl through the listings before going on holiday to find these two prgrams. Real gems!

For me, it was a great education in how F1 racing was back them. I love the proportions of the cars i.e. great big slicks on the rear and tiny ones on the front. They looked so purposeful. They way the rear suspension would move as they mounted the kerbs on the exit of Corpse was pretty spectacular. Some of cars were quite beautifully crafted too, the Hesketh caught my eye as did the Ferrari 312T with its little aero details but the car that really did it for me was the Martini Racing Brabham BT44s, there is something about the front end and the air box on those cars. Who designed them?

It was great to see drivers I've read about in action, I'm talking about the likes of Tony Brise, Tom Pryce and Mark Donohue and I actually heard what Ronnie Peterson sounded like. Great stuff ESPN.

ESPN Classic (Sky channel 442)

There are 30mins highlights of the 1965 Monaco and Dutch Grand Prix being shown today (17.03.2007) starting from 2200hrs. Spread the word!

If you miss it, it is being repeated tomorrow (18.03.2007) around 1600hrs but check the schedules to confirm.

Cheers.
