Crossle 62F History Needed

I recently acquired the Crossle 62F FF1600 that was raced by Fionn Murray in 1986.

The info I have on the car is as follows:

Car Model: 62F
Chassis Number: 62F.86.02

Previous Owners Names –

1986 – Team Murray – Raced by Fionn Murray

1987 – Pat O’Connell , Dublin

In 1989 it was then imported to the US by Continental Crossle and sold to Jim Roberts of Canada.

1991 -Bob Zaniewski – Ontario CA

Mark Hutchinson – WI - USA

Tim Webb AR - USA,

Fernando Licopoli – NY - USA,

I would like very much to know the history of the car when raced by Fionn Murray and want to restore/respray the car to match the colors and graphics of that time in 1986. I would appreciate all photos, records, history, etc that any of you may have on the car from that time.

Thanks very much in advance for your help,

John Holliday

I took a load of pics of Fionn in his Crossles.... gave most of them to Con Connolly and they are posted on his site. Have a look through these:

crossle history

You may get some background in the archive section of the Crossle website: www.crossle.co.uk

Arnie Black of Crossle may be able to put you in touch with one of the Murray family for further info on the car & its history in Ireland.

Motormouth,

Thanks for the link to the Connelly site. I spent much time there and found some possible pics of the car. If you have others that show more detail, I would like very much to see them.

I did send an email to Arnie Black a couple of weeks ago and have not heard back from him yet.

Best regards to all,

John

Thanks again Motormouth,

That was an enjoyable clip to watch. I wish it would have included the end of the race.

My car was supposed shipped to Team Murray on March 15, 1986. It may have been the number 6 car in the You tube video. Do you by any chance know the date of that Kirkstown race?

I found the attached photos on the Con Connolly site. These cars are 62Fs.

When I find some time I'll put the rest of the race on You Tube. There may be some more of Fionn Murray.
