Webber was interviewed on live radio in Australia. Surely there must be a quote or two worth repeating here?

Oh boy.
basically he talked about his time with jaguar and how he was dissapointed with how it ended in brazil. his upcoming year with Williams and how he was on his way for a seat fitting and that the tests that they are about to do are going to be interesting to see who his new team mate will be. he will test the same car as it finished the season while Pizzonia will test an interim car before he gets his hands on the "newer" car. he wants to do heaps of miles and get totally up to speed before he comes home to melbourne and see's what happens there. he also talked about time he spent with Lance Armstrong recently and how he admires his fighting spirit and he is one of his greatest inspirations. basically thats about it , all stuff we already knew really but it was still pretty good to hear him being interviewed in australia for once |

Thanks Marcus. No word on his preferred teammate then? Pizzonia seems to be the early favourite from what I've read.

not that I can remmeber Kirk , I'd had a few by that stage and had a kid yelling at me through my headphones
I think he is slightly dissapointed about Jensen but honestly the only thing e wants in a team mate is the ability to help develop a car with the team. he then will deal with what happens on the track |

We may have all season for that
Alot has changed since their time together. Pizza has many more miles under his belt (I would guess he has covered more than Mark since they parted company) and is well known to the team. If Pizza gets the drive, it will be no Jaguar repeat. He's a much better driver than 18 months ago, and it showed at Spa. |

I didn't hear it all but I'm sure Mark said something about Pizzonia being a good choice for Red Bull! He refused to say anything else but the inference seemed he didn't particularly rate him.

its common knowledge. Mark Webber hates Antonio Pizzonia... especially after his comments about the 'prefferential treatment' saga at Jag.
If you put those two in a team together, it is not going to be constructive. Anthony Davidson or Quick Nick is a much better choice to have a constructive team. |

Not sure whether I'd go so far and say Mark Webber "hates" Pizzonia. In any event, I don't think it matters because I would they think they'll have to work with each other, because if Pizzonia doesn't get the seat, then he'd probably stay on as test driver.
I think it's fairer to say that Webber didn't really respect Pizzonia. |

Or alternatively Pizza didnt respect Webber at Jag. Webber was clearly the better driver there and all he did was ***** and moan at the German GP about not getting the same equipment. Then Mark outraces him in the obviously inferior Jag.
In my opinion Pizza has a lot to answer to Webber, infact, he owes Mark and apoligy. Ive never liked Pizza and i never will. |

Pizzonia probably owes a few people at Jaguar, not just including Mark Webber, an apology.
For those that missed the streamed Webber interview, there is a five page interview with Webber before his first Williams test at www.crash.net. It's fairly interesting. |
