Brilliant ride by Danny Kent in the conditions and having to do the whole race from the front, apart from that one "bum clenching" moment !!!!!

That was brutal. That's the kind of rain you stop under a bridge overpass for. Nice hometown win. |

Apparently neither rider is entirely convinced of their usefulness, it will be interesting to see if they appear on the GP16. |

They could also be used to direct air for drag reduction as opposed to outright down force.

It still looks quite a nasty sharp projection if you look at the wing on the LHS of the bike in the foreground. I hope that DORNA bans the wings before somebody figures out a major benefit to running them, then we will have everyone running wind tunnels 24/7 and the racing will go to hell because the aero doesn't work in the slip stream. |

in a way it's Rossi's gain but those points could've been more |

All Italian podium in Silverstone.
2 out of 3 Brits on the San Marino podium. Hmmm. Interesting MotoGP with the 3 bike changes during the race. Glad Lorenzo was ok, that was a high speed off. |

Sounds like Jorge has nothing broken which has got to be good news, he does need to win at home next time out though.

Aragon this weekend - does anyone actually want to see Jorge win the World Title?
I see Bradl/Bautista keep the Aprilia gig for 2016 with Sam Lowes stepping up in 2017... |

Danny Kent has had a brilliant season so far but that was a big mistake. An extra 16 points on Bastianini at this stage would have been a 70-point lead with only 100 left, you could call that game over. Still the big favourite for the title though, so he can afford to show us he's human.
Yet another victory for Oliveira, who will partner Kent in Moto2 (with Leopard) next season. That's going to be a strong pairing. Speaking of strong, how quick was the KTM down the straights?! Also speaking of strong, how unnecessarily strong-armed was Binder? Don't like to see anyone go down under any circumstances but if anyone had to have a shunt today Brad was the man. As for MotoGP, Rossi has done his usual thing (starts 6th), and word is that he's having to run lean to save fuel. Marquez/Lorenzo/Rossi might be the best result he can reasonably expect. |

Good to see Pedrosa back to his feisty best, although such a shame that he looks like getting the unwelcome tag of best rider never to win the title.

least for a few races. The Yamahas will always have a good fight. I can't even begin to imagine how to control a Moto GP bike with a broke hand till it is fully healed. Collar bone is one thing, hand is another. Glad he has a little time before Japan. |

But imo Max Biaggi is the real case of what could have been. - Started late with racing (at age 18) - Could/should have moved to 500cc after his first or 2nd world title in 250cc, essentially losing 2 or 3 years of his prime years where he wasnt in the top class. But even in that case he would have had to fight Mick Doohan in his top years. - Had the 'luck' that next to Doohan the next top dog in the championship was Rossi. Hard to beat 12 titles. - In his rookie 500cc season he lead the championship with 3 races to go, eventually losing to Mick doohan (who won his 5th championship). An amazing performance, long forgotten by most - Next year (1999) moved to Yamaha, which simply wasnt the best bike available. Had he stayed on a Honda he should have won the title over Criville in 1999, and imo would have had a good chance against Roberts jr in 2000. - Starting 2001 Rossi was in his prime for +-5-6 years, for which Biaggi (or anybody else) was not a match, and during that time he also reached mid-30's and probably wasnt as quick as he used to be anymore. - Had awfull team management skills. Wore down his welcome way to soon, missing out on top rides due to that All in all if you look who Biaggi had to face, how he fared in those years & combine that with him starting late and spending his prime years in 250cc imo Biaggi is a real case of man what could have been. Which says a lot about his talents because he has a very impressive resume. Another one that doesnt have the wins but imo certainly had the talent to win a title was Darryl Beattie. But yeah his career was way way to short to even consider him to be that one. |

Another one I would add to the list is Randy Mamola. He could challenge the best like Spencer, Roberts, Lawson and beat them, but just failed to make it

Marquez got out there with modified
handlebars to help him with his broken hand and finished 7th in the first practice at Motegi. Not bad! Even had a big save. Lorenzo finished first with his ailment. No cake walk for Rossi, he will need to earn it. |

Cream rises to the top in Motegi.
If you have a broken hand and in the race, that's who I am for. Incredible. |

wetish race .. wasn't a great action race but good result for Rossi
if it was dry .. racing would've been better between Rossi and Lorenzo I know it's a bit late .. but i'm thinking of going to Valencia this year, but i see there are no tickets available on any website can I buy entrance tickets on location at least ? like for LeMans 24 auto? |
