Agreed - it's good to have Petter competing but the Xsara is too long in the tooth to be looking at taking any wins. Strong points finishes are the best he can hope for.

I dont like fords tactics of slowing on the final stage to get a better road position of on day 2 something has to be done to stop this

It felt like Loeb dominated, but only 10 seconds in it.. that's nothing really!

I think a clean sweep is possible - it's really up to Hirvonen and Latvala to do something about it. The other Citroens can't match him so you've got to hope one of the leading Ford drivers will do something about him (I'm still not sure which of Hirvonen and Latvala is the quickest)

Not a bad rally overall, some pretty spectacular sights. Thats the thing about rallying and the WRC, however much we get dismayed with the state of the WRC, a rally like Norway always brings smile to the face, well, to mine anyway.
I would love to do a winter rally sometime, I've already done a tarmac (Catalunya 2005) and a gravel rally (Finland 2007). Anyway, it was quite a close run thing in Norway, if Loeb wins this way its not so bad. He was made to work for it! |

Does anyone still watch WRC??
Bit like F1 when Scheuy was winning these days! Sad but dull, shame for Seb though, he is one of the best but will always be remembered as the guy that won when there was noone left! |
