Moto GP 2012, Round 18 - Valencia

Last race of the season. Last race for Stoner. Last race for Rossi on the Duc.

And of course we have the start of off-season testing after the race.

Bit of a slow day at Valencia today with the weather but it was interesting that Crutchlow thinks that the CRT bikes could spring a surprise if it stays wet this weekend...
Also Rossi, Cal and Dovi about Marquez' aggressive riding and all said that they liked Marc and Dovi admitted that we are seeing a similar rider to Marco Simoncelli a couple of years ago....
The new track surface didnt get too much running in the damp conditions but while most riders were happy with the new surface Casey said that "it sucked.
Casey's ankle is giving him trouble. It was cold at times in Spain today which obviously will make it difficult for him especially combined with the layout of Valencia.

Here's a couple of pictures from the afternoon sessions. I'll be updating the throughout the weekend

Thing is a lot of Aussies dont like Stoner that much anyway!

He is a bit of a moaner and comes up with some great excuses, such a shame as the lad has let the outward pressures get to him and that's something that other people coudl have dealt with.

Well, reports say he's already ruffling feathers in the V8s. I hope he gets on well whatever he does next.

Marquez is looking impressive today. Only a second off Pedrosa. And Dovi wasn't far off Hayden.

Yeah, I have to admit, I've never really gotten into him.

Even with Mick. When he was the no name behind Gardner, I was cheering for him. I was hoping he'd win at PI in 90. 91 was a great season. I was devastated about 92. I was really stoked when he seald the title at Brno in 94. Then things just changed. Beattie showing form in 95 I was happy that Mick tripped up in Jap 95, I thought it'd be good if Daryl had won the title. Now, I realise Daryl as a 500 champ just diminishes the value of the 500 title.

But anyway, back to Mick. The constant ******* sooking about Criville in 96, then Okada in 97, then Biaggi in 98. Sheene didn't help in this reagard, particularly about Biaggi. (Am I allowed to have a crack at Sheene on here?). To the point where I just didn't give a **** about how his career ended. Then I'm just thinking what a ******** he would've been, going on about getting kicked out of a Darwin stripclub. Imagine threatening a bouncer to get him fired from his job? He would've been doing him a favour!

Yes, thats really what we need Dani, another nearly 40 year old racing around the midfield!!

Seriously Loris has only been retired for a bit, and Bayliss was the same when he tested, always close to the pace, if you can keep fit and stay focused a retired rider will always be quick, but leave it a while and youa re gone.

Lawson was always quick when he came back and rode for Yamaha when he retired in 92, he raced at Suzuka twice and Daytona and was always on the pace despite retiring ages before. Apparently Mick was quickish on the Honda he ride at PI too!
