Vettel...because he did a burn out in the home straight after clinching a fourth WDC. Doesn't get much more epic than that. On any other day Grosjean, but on this day, you have to tip you hat to a champion.

Grosjean again for me, he seems to improve with every race and not sure why any team would pay huge amounts to some of the old guard of drivers when they are constantly out performed by the new generation about time a few took early retirement i think

A word for a man many like, but who rarely gets much credit from 'the masses'.
Massa made a good start, passed both Rosberg and Hamilton in a brilliant move on the first lap, and lead the comfortably when Vettel pitted, holding off Rosberg who was probably better equipped. I seem to remember hearing that, Ferrari were expecting the Lotus' to pit again and did not urge him to catch them earlier. It would have been nice to see him on the podium, and he rather looked more like a team leader than his team leader. I voted for him so that he did not end up with nil points. He deserves better than Ferrari have given him lately, but the same can be said of Alonso. One man's opinion. Grosjean, did a fabulous job, Vettel no more than expected, Rosberg ended up 'best of the rest', and deserved his place on the podium, but did not excel. |

Grosjean without question, superb commitment and determination to come back from that far back.
How would he have fared if he had qualified further up I wonder? Nico R did a superb race as well, as did Felipe baby, after another wonderful start, Surely the unsung hero of this race was Checo Perez. That drive was what most people expected after his displays in last years Sauber. Controlled, quick, consistent and decisive. He made the most of ghis strategy and the team cannot have any complaints about it. Mind you, had Button not had any issues would he have finished further up. I'm sure a lot of people will automatically say yes. |

It has to be RoGro for me. After the muck-up in qualifying, he fought back with a terrific race and finished on the podium.
Special mention to Vettel as well. I thought that starting on the soft tyre wasn't the wisest of choices - but he proved me wrong. I don't think that even if Webber's car had survived till the end, and if Red Bull had put hard tyres on his middle sting and soft ones on his last, that he would have been able to catch him. Plus, kudos for giving us donuts! Honourable mentions to Rosberg, Massa and Checo. They all had a very strong race as well. Alonso seemed to be off the boil yesterday - indeed, Felipe outshone him. |

Not to take anything away from Grosjean's drive, but it was the one stop strategy that worked so well for him. That and the fact that the Lotus can use tyres better than any other car put him on the podium, but he still had to drive the thing.
My point? Why do tyres control the results at least as much as the driver? We don't really know who was the driver of the race. |

Just sticking with the driver through thick and thin.... I remember seeing Nico racing under the Finn flag when partnered with Hamilton years ago. |

By the way, the move on Grosjean didn't look that bad....even DC said it during the commentary.

Grosjean. Up there with Hulkenberg for me in terms of exciting young talents ready to win a Grand Prix, tomorrow. Another immaculate performance.

Remember Vettel in a Torro Rosso ploughing into the back of a Red Bull ? Lewis falling off into the Gravel in a pit lane ! Then, when they've peeked like DC, Webber etc, chuck em out and get some new talent in and see what they've got ! ...but give 'em a couple or three seasons to achieve it ! |

Massa. I thought he drove an excellent race. For once he didn't have to play second fiddle to Alonso, who was completely out of the picture due to his ill-handling Ferrari, after he damaged the front wing at the start and so there was no 'interference' from the team.

Was he? I don't know. If so, it obviously gives him a claim on the nationality. But no-one ever mentions Germany being a part of his life, whereas we are always hearing about him going to school in Monaco. Perhaps he's just a "citizen of the world" who likes the German national anthem better than the the other choices.
