I see Endaf Owens is building a KAD from the ground up.
Im just about put entry in. Be good to see and hear the 3 KAD engines out together.
Also would be nice to see Mary Grinham entering as well.

Jules Mini should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Entry sent my brother is racing in the allcomers race , has anyone had any problems with security at brands overnight my dad was going to camp but there seems to be quite a few posts on various forums about stuff being taken from tents overnight or is the brands campsite outside the circuit cheers Jules

Good to see that 'the sow's ear' is good enough for a MSVR pic!

Entry on it's way, probably for the Mig Invitation class.

I thought that the mini festival at Brands was a great . Nice to see Aaran smith with 2 pole positions and 2 wins in the miglias.

But for me the drive of the day was Endaf Owens in the all comers race starting at the back of the grid to take a fine win on the cars debut.

Technically it DNF'd on its race debut and then won in its second race - but a nice looking car nonetheless. Would have been good to have a few more cars out there for the allcomers race too - I would have thought some more of the other drivers might have 'doubled up' their entries. Did you not fancy a run out Robert? (or James for that matter - he's a pretty handy driver)

Bert how silly neither of us got our facts correct.

But we both forgot to mention how Endaf set pole position for the first race, also fastest lap of 52.565 in the second.
What about Mary entering?

Yep, very quick lap from Endaf, looks to be a very nice car No idea why Mary wasn't there, would have been good to see the car out there too. Is James Guests car the same one he used to use in rallycross or newer build?

James Guests car is the old rally cross car with a Honda 1800 cc engine.
I had drive shaft brake in first race and throttle cable brake in the second.
there fore I had to start the last race from pit lane, but I did enjoy the weekend.

It was always a good car to watch in rallycross, glad to see it's being used in anger again - he's been doing SEMSEC meetings with it too hasn't he?

Rough luck on the failures, good you still enjoyed it though - after all that's what it's all about really isn't it?

Looks like James Martin enjoyed his weekend too - he certainly got plenty of track time in!

Looks good for next year Rob, according to this :-

http://www.mini-festival.co.uk/mini-...n-in-2014.aspx

Difficult to tell whether the attendance was up on last year and the weather didn't help. Displays and trade tents looked good and I kept seeing people walking around with carbon fronts under their arms!

We made the usual hard work of a race weekend, left the race battery at home in Sevenoaks on Sunday morning and then Chris over indulged at Clearways whilst fighting over 8th in the Mig race. Learnt a lot and came away pleased with the car and driver progress since last year. Thanks to the usual suspects for all their hard work and advice.

Mixed weekend for me but really pleased I raced at the event.
Had a great tussle on Saturday with one of the German drivers and was having a really good run on Sunday (Huge thanks to Chris for his advice) when something got a bit noisey in the gearbox dept so felt best to pull off.
My only complaint was the waiting around on Sunday to race at 430pm was massively boring.
Also must say thank you the Lee and Dave Mcnair for looking after me and my car on Saturday.

Not boring for us on Sunday, two races each with 32 historic minis on the grid.

Sorry we missed you Ken. We did come round to the posh end of the paddock but you were in your Club marquee for the award ceremony.

You certainly had a great couple of races , a 6th and a 4th with a joint fastest lap as well. Certainly nothing to get bored about.Good to see you going so well.

I understand what mini crosser is saying but I used the time to good use and watched some fantastic racing, also our entry fee was good value.
