DriverT should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Yes, it would be good for Minardi. But they don't have the budget to develop the car anyway. It would be better to go to somewhere like Jaguar; it might make Ford give them a proper budget.

I don't think Ford would give them any money if they use Mercedes engines.

Once Norbert knocks on Paul's door with a powerplant under his arm just watch how quickly he'll turn.

Minardi and Jordan will be out of f1 at the end of the season if not before.
Three car teams by the top four manufacturers will be introduced to account for the two missing teams:

Ferrari - Fisichella in a third ferrari and then one of those young pay drivers into his sauber seat.
Williams - JV takes the third car free of charge
McLaren - DC takes the third car for a much lower salary
Renualt - Frank Montangy would probbaly get it

i think the supprises Frank Williams was talking about a while back are contingent on Jordan and Minardi being around. I wonder if bernie has an agreement with the top 2 or top 4 teams to run a third car in the event of either team folding. (as f1 teams can fold overnight_ !!

I thought the surprises Frank was talking about were due to who would be in the Williams seats.

Welcome to the forum by the way

It's actually very much in Frank's interest that Jordan and Minardi survive, because McLaren and arguably ferrari would have stronger driver line-ups, so don't be surprised if he does a lot to help them, either directly or indirectly.

Incidentally, I'd hate to see the top teams running 3 cars, because it would crush the hope sof the smaller teams, not to mention the other 4 manufacturer teams, of scoring points, and perhaps accelerate their demise. The outcome could be 5 cars from each of the only 4 remaining constructors by 2008.

Boots that could be easily solved by only awarding constructors points to the top 2 cars per team. 3rd driver can collect points for the DC.

I personally think that the 3rd driver (if it ever happens) shouldn't be allowed to score any points

JPM at McLaren or DC with another team, I think it would be very funny if either one took the number one for their new teams.
