I have been told by a good source that Damian Assaillit has been excluded from Race Image for poor performance and a lack of funding from Britek.
He will now be driving a MWR car for Matthew White at Bathurst. |

In the same car that last year Jose drove from last to third in race 1 at Adelaide, a podium at Wakefield Park & a podium at Bathurst, Damian did... ummm, well nothing, but you get that when you brake earlier than my granny heading to the shops and you let mummy interfere in car setup while daddy's getting in the way of the race crew.
With a driver that can take the "raging bull by the horn's" behind the wheel we will see if Damian's tired excuse that its the car that's slow is true or if its the organic material behind the wheel. Now who's going to step up and drive the beast at the mountain??? |

Got to admire the V8 website.
If you go the main game page for this round there is no driver entry list. However if you go the Fujitsu page for this round there is a driver entry list. Pity it is for the main game. |

If anyone has a copy of the Fujitsu V8 entry list for Mount Panorama, could they please post it? It would be much appreciated.
Thanks. |

*puts supporters hat on* You are all like sheep.. one of you starts bagging out Jose then you all follow!!! One person says something good about him for a change then you all change the tune and go the opposite!! you either like him or you dont.. And the Viagara comment was not nescessary regardless of who it is... ADZ nothing wrong with a white car, infact it looks nicer than half the **** running around out there!! ( apart from Willsy's car) gahh anyway Good Luck Jose for Bathurst... *takes supporters hat off* Quote:

Where was the "bagging out"?
In any case, for some reason both this driver and this team, separately, absorb a fair amount of discussion space here... and neither have produced any 2008 results to get excited about. Meantime... Mr Owen can wrap up the series at Bathurst... which has to be the focal point after all |

Looks like a very happy split between the Assaillit and Race Image parties.
With both implying the other was next to useless there are only four outcomes possible after this weekend. 1. Damien and Jose both perform at a similar standard lower than 10th in which case they are both correct. 2. Damien and Jose both perform at a similar standard higher that 10th in which case they are both incorrect. 3. Damien performs noticably better than Jose in which case Race Image are Nuffy's. 4. Jose performs noticably better than Damien in which case Damien is a Wood Duck. We all know results can mean anything but pace will be the key here, nothing like some pressure for vindication or confirmation. Let the battle commence |

Wonder why they didn't get Mr Rollinson to drive 60, as he was quicker than Mr Assaillit, when he was only driving the old nail 61, and beat Jose when they ran together also, and with one hell of a lot less damage one might add. Money issue I guess, but I would be very suprised if Jose is paying anything, as Race Image maybe trying to prove a point, which I figure they would have done with young Gene, a new comer to the mountain, wouldn't that have rubbed salt into some wounds if he did, and if he didn't they had the reason that it was his first time there, now if Jose doesn't beat damien, what excuss can they use?

News from the circuit... has Mr Fernandez & Mr Brown, sharers of the Race Image tent and cars, apparently had an on-circuit coming together of some size... on their first lap out... Mr Brown's car was badly damaged, and the crew performed miracles to get him back out there for some more circuit experience.... Until... Mr Fernandez is alleged to have ventured into the scenery and damaged the car... in a big way TAFE smash repairs has some work to do and its not even lunchtime on day 1!! Allegedly Meantime, Mr Assailiit ended up 12th, but 3.5 seconds off the class of the field in Mr Owen.... |

I noticed that Aaron Magill is peddling around in a BA Falcon this weekend. This car is painted white and has a yellow interior/rollcage.
Does anyone know the history of the car??? My assumption would be an early Triple 8 (ie Briggs) car built in 2003, chassis 5 or 6, which may have come from Howard Racing (car 32 from last year) or PCR (car 111 from last year). Also the Youlden car (Car 32) is an ex. WPS car, but which one? |
