I'm not sure mate, but apparently both were ok thankfully. It's not too common that we see FFords get that much air (although I know it does happen from time to time)

Notice Middleton's Lambo was at the back of the pits for sale.
Calvin Pusteria's new Corvette failed to front, and Murray Carter's waiting on a new clutch for his car.
Speaking of Corvettes, Chas Talbot has a new Trans-Am version almost completed which should run in the second half of the year.

Quite a few in the grandstand today, just imagine if they actually publicised the damn thing.

Also growing anger by the volunteer marshals about the ridiculous date clash between Historic Sandown and The Shannnons Nationals at PI.
Trust me they're not the only one's ****ed off.
Couldn't agree more with the last two statements.

Everything at state level seems to be a secret - don't let anyone know. SSSHHH

Two events less than 200 km's apart at the same time - brilliant.

We'll have action from the meeting tomorrow night on the show, including Tom Grech's BIG crash (although a certain multiple Bathurst winner is most keen that it isn't shown)
Car held up well but boy it was pretty scary looking standing a few metres away.
Shame the car count was so small, the Sports Sedan guys say they've got about 18 people either sitting things out this year or waiting to make repairs or upgrades.
No Historic Touring Cars, made a difference and the Modern Regularity Trail was a complete flop and didn't even run.
Was good to see the SA contingent come over for Improved Production they're very quick cars and well presented.

Hopefully the Historic Touring Car guys are saving it for the A7CC Historic Winton in two weekends time.

Any chance of the state round review from the show getting up on Youtube? Was too busy watching shows from other networks that ran well over, so by the time I switched over the story was done...

Yeah looks like 2011 isn't as bad as 2008, but the wallets aren't opening up much this year.

Let's hope the Duratek mob behave themselves a bit better this time around. It's a shame that the Sports Sedans aren't running as they're all too busy running the meeting. At least for the officials that means hot, home made soup, hot dogs and cake. Any categories or teams with news should send it to me, but yet again I won't be holding my breath.
It's probably already way too late for Auto Action and In Pit Lane is on a indefinite break, (Rallycross this Tuesday night, Drag Racing the following)

Everyone seemed to behave themselves and some actual racing took place.

Also, was that a yellow Lambo's gearbox I saw being driven away mid afternoon?

Yep, it was heading to Hollinger for a rebuild and Ted should be back in action tomorrow.
Good Formula Ford fields but numbers down in other classes and the lack of the Sports Sedans always impacts this meeting.

Well, it hung together!

Ted started the first race today in grid 21 as a DNS in race 1, but got to 4th with a fastest lap almost 2 sec faster than anyone else, and then in the feature race got 2nd, partly as Whitmarsh went home early with engine failure, admittedly.

The gearbox ain't pretty, but it damn well worked
