Actually, I'm sure he managed it in 1997! Mind you, that was Ralfs's first year, so maybe it's excusable! Oh, and it was ITVs first year too - maybe he was trying to initiate new fans to 'Murray's Magical Mishaps'!

Not a blunder but I love this one:
MURRAY: "And his car is on fire as he enters the swimming pool!" JAMES HUNT: "Well that should put them out then." Murray was great, but I miss James even more, even now. |

"...The gap between the two cars is 0.9 of a second which is less than a second..."
"....the lead is now 6.9 seconds. In fact it's just under 7 seconds..." love, bridget |

Murray: "No, No i'm not, i'm eurphoric, delighted, overwelmed and overpowered with emotion and extremely extremely happy". |

Yes, Murray was always a card-carrying member of the Michael Schumacher fan club.
I generally liked MW but he did have a bit of a blind spot against Mika Hakkinen. |

Saw one on one of his videos. Brands Hatch some time in the late 70's/early 80's. Saloon car race. Murray " Ford escort first, Ford escort second, Ford escort third.........Not suprising really because they are ALL Ford escorts. |

From all the above, his biggest blunder was retiring too soon!

I think he retired at the right time - he said it was best to decide when to stop rather than wait for the day the bosses told him to.
