Phoenix1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Susie Stoddard

Any news on what Susie is up to next year? She looked good in Renualt this year wondering if she is off to F3 in 2005 and if so who with? Good to follow drivers - followed Pizzonia and Sato so hopefully follow Stoddard to F1 too.

Off course I meant Thank you, not thanks you. (was on phone) Anyway hope this press release is soon. Any rough date or that too much to ask? I've already been frustrated with Williams as I thought the seat was to be decided this week but now I have to wait to see if he gets the dream ticket.

She was hoping to do GP2 with Comtec at one point, I seem to recall. Will be interesting to watch her progress in F3; is she over-hyped or can she cut the mustard?

She says the F3 car suits her style better than FRenault - but then she would say that, I suppose...

She gets a lot of hype being a woman in a male dominated sport, but watching her over the last two years she is a good driver, although not the absolute best in FRenault. However, certainly very good, so we'll see...

I don't think a male driver with Susie's results would have twice been nominated for the McLaren Autosport award though.

Probably a bit busy with setting up his Comtec teams in F Renault Eurocup and providing engineering support to Isport

I hate to agree with you here. Susie is a good driver, and one of the best female drivers around. But not one of the best drivers around at her level in comparison with male rivals.
This does actually work to her advantage though - good publicity and support. And, raising the female interest in the support (as I hope she is able to do) can only be a good thing.

Susie said a while ago she reckoned an F3 car would suit her driving style more than an FRenault.

Lets hope so - I'd love to see her to well.

If Susie was a guy she would have been dead and burried a long time ago. Sorry but thats a fact. She has of yet achieved nothing outstanding and yet here she is getting another spin on the wheel at the expense of other more talented drivers, one or two Mclaren Autosport winners are looking for opportunities !. I suspect this may be her last chance

Extreme way of putting it - I like it! And I agree fully with what your saying, she's done nothing so far in her career yet has had more PR and opportunities than most drivers get in there career. This PR and the opportunities she's received have been based purely on the fact that shes female and not on the fact that she has any real driving talent. I mean it comes to something when she's asked what the best moment of her career so far is and she says "nearly winning a race at Thruxton"! What a joke!
