As I read that negotiatons was not successfull. But it might change if Citroen don't find enough driver for their cars.

Fresh, hot:

Aurélien Panis --> Zengő Honda

Aurélien Panis is the/a son of Olivier Panis.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aur%C3%A9lien_Panis

If the team can find enough money, they will give tha second car to a hungarian driver.

I edit my earlier post:

JAS Motorsport Honda (3 cars)
- Norbi
- Monteiro
- Michigami

Volvo Cyan Racing (3 cars)
- Bjork
- Girolami

- Catsburg (not official, but most possible)

Münnich Motorsport Citroen (1 car)
- Huff

SLR Citroen(2 or 3 cars)
- Chilton
- Bennani (not official, but almost sure)
- TBA?

Campos Chevrolet or SLR Citroen
- Filippi

ROAL Motorsport Chevrolet or Citroen
- Coronel (not official but almost sure)

Zengő Motorsport Honda (1 or 2 cars)
-
Aurélien Panis
- TBA hungarian driver (if gets the money)

unknown team (SMP? Oreca?) Lada (2 or 3 cars)
- Tarquni?
- TBA
- TBA? (possible)

So this is 6 official and 5 almost sure driver + 2 strongly possible + 3 possible driver.

15 or 16 cars. On the edge. I still think in this current situation the organizer should spend way much money to support the independents. There are still 5-6 TC1 cars in the storage.

When I saw the headline 'Panis joins WTCC', I thought 'that's what the series needs, an ex F1 winner to boost credibility.' Then I saw it was his son, but hey a young driver is welcome to the series

Look like Filippi in SRL Citroen
http://www.touringcartimes.com/2017/...itroen-switch/
So only Coronel in Cruze (if he stay at ROAL) and Campos if they find drivers.

Guerreri maybe?

Poor Coronel. Might be they can get a Citroen like the Münnich Motorsport could.

Will the Citroëns receive any updates compared to this year? Because if they stay the same and the Cruze stays the same Coronel could still surprise here and there. I really hope they'll find the budget for a Citroën though (now there's something I never thought I'd say )

Would you prefer a Cruze or a Vesta as a privateer?

A new homologization period started this year, so this is a good chance for the competitors to a big step.

According to my knowledge the Vestas will run only by a choosen team, the Cruze's can bought by anybody who has money for this purpose.

But someone could bring a sponsorship package to said team.

Esteban Guerrieri has signed with the Citroën factory team for the 2017 Super TC2000. I think he will drive in WTCC for SLR.

Also, Néstor Girolami would sign with any manufacturer.

Hmmm. Just a test or no more retirement?

If it's just a test, could be very valuable to the team.

There is nothing to suggest this anything more than just a test for Yvan

I am absolutely sure Thed Bjork is already chosen, just not officially confirmed yet but he has a deal in place.

I expect Bjork will be joined by Girolami (more or less done deal) and Rob Huff.
