ALANGRUMPY should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Important Message,Gurston July 17th postponed

Due to unforseen circumstances this weekends meeting (july 17th) has been postponed. If anyone was planning to come down please accept my apology and that of the BARC SW committee. I'm busy trying to contact by phone all the marshals who volunteered for this meeting. The committee hope to reschedule the meeting for a later date. I'll keep everyone informed when this has been arranged.
Once again my apologies
(A very) Grumpy Git.

Thanks for posting this Alan. As I'm currently working away from home you wouldn't have been able to get hold of me. I wouldn't have been to happy if I'd turned up on Sunday and nobody was there.

Cheers,

Neal Callaghan

Team Circuitmarshal have got the message.
Didn't think we were that bad the last time, that you had to do this to keep us away!!
If marshals are looking for something to do on Sunday SCMC have their sprint at Longcross near Chertsey.
You will not be turned away if you turn up about 0800hrs.

Gurston Website reports that they are doing their utmost to run the meeting again at a later date.

...from www.gurstondown.org

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Organising Committee, the event scheduled for Sunday
17th July 2005 has been ABANDONED.

It is hoped that a replacement date can be arranged for Saturday 10th September 2005.

Lets hope it works out ok.

Don't have the details, but I think the answer to your question is 'Yes', it would be a bad time to ask!
