With the cars having bottomed out a lot at the Turn 16 apex, with the kerb lower than the track itself, race organisers are now re-profiling the kerb to make it higher. This should prevent drivers from being encouraged to cut the corner too much.
errr surely with it being lower and causing them so much hassle... THAT would prevent them from cutting the corner too much.. now it will just be another corner to cut...

The FIA has also agreed that the track surface will be extensively cleaned overnight to try and get rid of the dust that was dragged onto the track during the free practice sessions.

Byebye rubber laid down on Friday then? hello green track again?

Strange drivers complaining of the track dipping at turn 16. I thought the track was between the white lines?

The fastest way around is to use the curbing. If you race at all or pay attention to racing, you should know this.

If that was a concrete wall I bet they wouldn't be cutting the corner. Its about time the white lines actually stood for something. If the run off at Sears for example gets any bigger the circuit will be in the next county.

According to Eurosport 'many of the team mechanics are staying in brothels due othe lack of accomodation, some being offered girls for the week and some finding piles of used condoms in their rooms'

Great!

If Monaco is safe enough to run, those corners are.

There's not much point in using the kerbing (sic) if it's going to damage the car. That's why they've been working overnight on Turn 16.

If your laptops have a built in display adapter, you should be able to hook them up to the plasma screens, provided you have the cable.

If there's a slow moving car coming into the pits they'll have to be on the ball and wave yellows, corner is pretty much blind...

Yep. I can just see in the race one of the front runners running into a slow moving car or car thats slightly off line...:S

Looks like the tracks lost some grip over night.

I hope your wrong, the pitlane entrance would not be the best place for an accident. As for the track it doesn't seem to have rubbered in too well, then again it is green but I think a little too green from what the BBC guys are saying. They were talking about 'tears' of oil seeping through to the track surface.

Going to be a case of who finds the most grip + tyre managment..Looks like it could be a two stopper..

Kubica looking pretty hooked up in the Renault...Vettel nearly put it into the wall in the last sector..lucky

Kubica's running well. I missed Vettel, nearly going into the wall, the BBC feed keeps dropping and now it's ended; that was a bit sudden.

I better get some sleep. Roll on qualifying.

Thanks, yes, but as discussed the BBC thinks our IP is somewhere in Europe... However if I was unscrupulous I could change it

Anyway that was a good session, the onboard shots with Kubica towards the end were marvellous, you can see the boys been rallying last weekend.

Its great to finally have a qualifying session where someone other than Red Bull could take pole. Mclaren need to get this session right.

Usual suspects through to Q2, Liuzzi didn't make it through though. Jenson struggling with grip on the prime tyre.
