MG Rover Sport should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thanks for clearing that up 'CC'.

Another ex-show car has been rebuilt, and well documented within the various MG Rover / XPower forum circles. Here is a link to his Facebook page if anyone's interested... https://www.facebook.com/EX259

His car features a WSR number on the A post like their race cars - 'SC01' standing for 'Show Car 01' I assume? This was copied from an email I received from him a year or so ago...

Quote:
'The plate on my car is a WSR one and shows SC-01. It started life xpower grey with the fat green strip, then the green viper stripes, atomic kitten then back to viper stripes again. At the time it was atomic kitten colours there was another dummy car that had the hotwheel flames. This car also had the small side skirts but I think it ended up with the playstation inside it and RAC colours. Mine was never orange.'

Ah. Now that's the 2006 RAC showcar. I last saw that on display in 2007 somewhere, hence the Onslow-Cole name on it, even though he didn't drive the MG at all.

The Leggate car is a lot better than it was last time we saw it!

What are they running in? General saloon/sedan championships?

This one lives at an RAC training centre, has engine/gearbox/suspension for trainees to practice on. Unsure if its roadgoing K-series engine and suspension or race bits. I'd guess its a showcar.

He has and was out in it in the HSCC "Super Touring/ Touring Car" series earlier this year.

I have also found this reference to someone trying to rebuild one of the (possibly) Lola built cars in Scotland. Not sure whether they ever completed it because the thread petered out

Do the references to the K2000 engine mean that it was fitted with a 2 litre K Series 4 cylinder from this point forward, rather than the 2 litre V6 version (based on the 2.5 litre KV6)

I have read elsewhere that Jason Hughes is using his car in the HSCC series with a 4 cylinder K Series engine.
