Ft. Lauderdale, FL

There are talks of having the IndyCar Series finale taking place in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

The idea is to have it run beach side. Here is my attempt:

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5249391

It is 2.175 miles long and runs counterclockwise. The start/finish line is on Seabreeze/N Atlantic Boulevard between Castillo Street and Cortez Street. The pit lane would run parallel to the main straight along S Birch Rd, also between Castillo Street. and Cortez Street. The track then follows S Atlantic/N Atlantic/Seabreeze Boulevard curving ever so slightly both left and right until it reaches Turn 1, a hairpin turn that takes them back onto S Atlantic/S Fort Lauderdale/N Atlantic/Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard. It is a long run to Turn 2, which includes a few left and right kinks. Turn 2 is a 90 degree left onto Bayshore Drive. Turn 3 is also a 90 degree left, this time onto N Birch Road. There is a slight left kink along this stretch of road. Turn 4 is another 90 degree left, this time onto Alhambra Street. Turn 5 is a hairpin to the right onto N Atlantic Boulevard. A slight kink to the left takes you to the start/finish line.

Himlar should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I like it, the only comment I have is that the run between T1 and T2 might be a bit too long, on the other hand it'll make that 90 degree left really interesting.

Hello all

Yes, it's good, but I don't see place for pits
