World Rallycross R12 - San Luis, Argentina

So how long have the teams got before the cars are shipped there? Are they going straight from Turkey? All to play for with the constructors title...

It is rather a Rallycross teams than a manufacturers title, innit? Seen that the factories are not straight involved, but via teams that are backed by them...

These standings look at least different:

San Luis native Miguel Baldoni will be driving a Skoda Fabia as a wildcard.

In 2009 he was the Argentine N4 Light class champion.
In 2011 he was 6th in the Argentine Maxi Rally class driving a Volkswagen Gol.
In 2012 he was runner-up to Federico Villagra, beating Pozzo, Madero, Ligato and Menzi.
In 2014 he ranks 5th, this time driving a Peugeot 208 Maxi Rally.

Yep, claimed to be a Hedström car.

And 2000 FIA PWRC series winner Manfred Stohl from Austria has revealed to drive the second PSRX Citroën DS3.

Anyone else think this is an utterly pointless round?

Or could it be that nothing else is on and a chance to put something on that the odd race fan might watch?

Marketing anyone? Please remember guys this isnt just about marketing.

According to Autosport Jacques didn't fancy Argentina - Andy Scott doesn't pull any punches in his opinion of Jacques and his attitude

I was reading that article last night:

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/116831

I thought Villeneuve's parting words were uncalled for, so nice to see Andy not pulling any punches in his retort.

Just glad the championship is not decided in a far away country with no rallycross-roots. Just one of the stupid things of IMG to have the last round outside Europe. It's not F1...

If you look at that, the only tracks with any history are Holjes, Lydden and Loheac.

I am more worried about this series now than I ever was about the old one.

As soon as the teams struggle for money this will be dropped like a stone

Not quite correct. Lydden Circuit, Estering Buxtehude, Höljes Motorbanan, Circuit de Lohéac and to lesser extend the Pista Automóvel de Montalegre and the Lånkebanen Hell as well.

Buxtehude hosted one of the most ERC events ever. (If not the most... eddi?) So if you talk about history

Not sure I've mentioned it on here but Hola Beeter Internet app on Google chrome will enable you to watch the live stream in the UK. Takes a bit of patience but is easy to use.

Is fascinating that all of a sudden we are supposed to be interested in the teams championship, instead of just watching the racing!

Why does there always have to be a script for these people!

Not much of a crowd either, but of a middle of nowhere Mettet type venue it seems

Hahaha, Doran excluded for a technical infringement!

Ever get the feeling you are not wanted! LOLOLOLOLOLL

Solberg seriously fast. Like the track although rutted up a bit. Did Ford Olsbergs having 3 cars there push Marklund into 4th so didn't make the final. Guest drivers and eurorx drivers can skew world standings. Is there talk of splitting euro and world finals next year?
