Best Helmet Ever!

OK, it's the middle of December, it's getting a little boring around the forum. So …

Who had the best helmet paint scheme ever in F1? For me, simple is better, and I love the famous rowing team emblem on Graham and Damon Hill.

If your selection is not well known, please post a photo so we can all judge for ourselves.

Senna's was probably one of the best simple designs in F1. And Joey Dunlop on a bike. Some of Mick Doohan's lids were good too...

Oh dear, its that "who's got the nicest helmet" discussion again. Moffat, don't start bragging.

As for paint schemes, i must say I like the Hill's. Jackie Stewart's was always nicely done and I thought Irvine's old lid was rather nice, the new Jaguar scheme is horribly tacky.

It has to be the yellow, the black and the green. But I'm biased......

Yes, I like Mansell's too. And TGF's, Raikkonen's... can't think of any more for the moment. Oh yes, I like Button's helmet, and Fisichella's, and Trulli's. And Frentzen's!

Sorry EEROs bragging commences underneath -

Shoei RF700 and something in black,

and from my "days of thunder" Harley riding experience, a Shoei matt black open face lid.

A friend club races a Porsche 944 Turbo, his road race Scott lid is twice the price of mine and in basic white for all those undiscovered sponsors to deface.

I always thought Sennas helmet was yellow with a green and blue, not black stripe, around it. Or was that just while he was driving the Camel Lotus?

marcus, WHAT is Roberto driving in that picture? It seems to date from the time when Italian teams cut out bits of the local yellow pages (Giallo Pagi) to find suitable sponsors

I believe that would be the Eurobrun from 1990, when poor Roberto did not qualify for a single grand prix, until he switched to Benetton for Japan and came second!!!

I could be mistaken though....... Don't take my word for it!

I too am biased, but I liked Zanardi's with the little pineapple on top.

Frentzen's is good.

Paul Tracy and Mick Doohan's are also top notch.

Probably would have been a good one for a quiz forum

But yes F1manoz has it right ..it is the 1990 Eurobrun Judd V8..but he did qualify the car a few times.
an impressive 16th at Pheonix and finished 13th of 14.
and 24th at Imola but retired on lap one.
