The Doctor says NO
good racing at the top both in Moto3 and MotoGP i had a bit of a deja vu Stoner vs Rossi 2007 .. but this time the Italian finished in front. btw .. no spaniards on the podium in all the classes |

The Ducati's & Marquez certainly made it an interesting race. The ride by Rossi was like the ones he used to do when right at his peak. After race reports where that Pedrosa has arm problems & could be replaced for the next few rounds (Stoner?) & Lorenzo had a helmet issue which cost him - was awesome to see 2 Ducati's upthere though
Moto2 - still bored with that class Moto3 - that was entertaining as ever, worth watching if you haven't seen it! |

I hope it doesn't turn into a Honda runaway again this year, at least this one was good to watch with the old master still on the boil !

Glad to see Ducati has made progress.
Fun to see Vali get a win anytime these days. I thought that was a quality race albeit Marquez came from last place which was entertaining itself. I did not notice if he pushed wide or got bumped. Moto 2 and 3 que'd up on the dvr. I will watch them later. |

That was one of the best MotoGP races for years.
Hopefully we now have 6 riders capable of winning, instead of just 4. |

that got me hooked in this sport. There was a period of time when most every MotoGP race had the same level of excitement. I really hope the Ducati's stay strong. We need them. |

Should Marquez have been penalized for colliding with Bautista early on, forcing the Aprilia's retirement?

Hopefully stewards will apply the same sense when it ain't MM93 and don't come up with penalties

Fair enough but I've just been browsing the results and holy cow, what happened to the Suter chassis in this class? I spotted just the one in a world of Kalexs and a handful of Speed Ups. How times change! Not so long ago, the weapon of choice was a thing called a Moriwaki, after that came the Suter and now...kinda like F3 chassis of old. The whole field gravitates towards one make.
On a different, can someone educate me please, are this year's Audis, sorry Ducatis full blown MotoGP bikes? What I mean is, are they those funny semi works things allowed extra fuel and soft tyres and all that last year? |

Quite a weekend for the Brits it seems! I've only seen brief highlights; I'm hoping to see the full races of Moto2 and 3 soon. It was just a question of time for Lowes! Well done to him and Kent.

I am a little bit of a Lowes fan now.
He gave a good interview before the race for tv and worked hard for that win. |

I'm not going to blame Marquez for going straight back at Rossi out of the corner, but after the first contact he should have backed down. There wasn't much chance he could have held the move even if he got alongside so he's just given 20 points to his title competitors. Maybe Rossi really does have enough in him for one more championship challenge - he's certainly got the beating of Lorenzo so far.
Crutchlow's pass on Iannone for 3rd at the last corner was a brilliant opportunist move as well. Speaking of Ducati's, they both held on well today despite the softer tyre. Dovizioso with three 2nd places (out of three races) is a good measure of the Desmo15's improvement. A bad race for Honda/Yamaha is going to be that much more costly with the Ducatis in the mix. |

Ducati were using their hardest tyre, which is what everyone other than Vale was using.
VAle is a genius, simple as that, and I think he is realising he might have a title in him. Kent too is a different rider so far, totally on it and simply majestic at the moment, like Di Meglio when he won. Lorenzo to me looks spent and out of ideas. Marquez was made to look a chump today a bit, is being made to work and I hope comes out fighting, not reosrting to bodyline as he did in Moto2 and 125. |

I knew the Dukes couldn't go any harder, but weren't the other Yamahas also on the extra hard tyre?
I think it was a classic case of experience over youth today, Rossi holding on to make the pass only when he felt it was a sure thing while Marquez's impetuous nature resurfaced now that he knows he has to work for the title this year. |

Not sure about Jorge, or the Tech 3 bikes but Honda certainly messed up with Marquez.
Lot of people blaming Rossi for it aswell, utter garbage. He has done dirty things in the past with Sete and Casey, but he was blameless here. And marc will not blame anyone but himself I am sure |
