World Series by Reanult Formula 3.5 R01 Alcaniz 2015
time for the Formula Reanult 3.5 cars to race for the 1st time this year. Eurosport will show all the races. I wonder if BT sport might do the same

Here's the whole weekend schedule:
Friday 17th: 09:30 - 10:20 - Collective Test 1 13:30 - 14:20 - Collective Test 2 Saturday 18th: 09:10 - 09:40 - Qualifying 1 13:30 - 14:13 - Race 1 (40 Mins + 1 Lap) Sunday 19th: 08:50 - 09:20 - Qualifying 2 12:30 - 13:13 - Race 2 (40 Mins + 1 Lap - Pitstop window = Lap 5 to 13) There's still been no official word on Comtec, but unless there's a miracle they won't be on the grid this weekend. And the second Zeta Corse entry is a bit up in the air at the moment also. |

Just as I say all that, there's been some news regarding the two of them today.
Zeta look like they will miss the opening round this weekend: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/118623 And Facu Regalia has jumped ship to join Comtec: http://www.paddockscout.com/facu-reg...5-season/26714 Crazy stuff indeed! |

No Comtec now. Regalia has no seat. A shame to lose a talented driver. We will never know what goes on behind the scenes but it might be that Facu hasn't learnt from his toys out of the pram escapades at Hilmer last year.
Incidentally, who does the BT Sport FR3.5 commentary? Might try them instead of Eurosport this weekend. Both seem to be showing both races live. |

looks a lot like that doesn't it? you either have the money or you don't. hope they at least got some money out of him for taking the truck out to spain otherwise they've got a right to be unamused with him.

in other news, glad to see they're going back to a low downforce race on saturdays. those were always good fun before they were disposed of, especially if it rained partway through.

I really think it's a driver problem: Problems with Hilmer, Zeta, now Comtec. Really just a coincidence?

Vaxiviere quickest in both practice sessions today. He really likes this track judging by past results.

Vaxiviere could mount a good title charge, he's looked pretty fast so far. Would not be surprised either, he's a good driver!
Regarding Regalia, is he out of Comtec, or are Comtec just out of the first round along with Facu? |

Regalia has a potential indirect sponsor: Canal F1 Latin America, the Latin American channel which has exclusive TV rights to broadcast F1 in all Latin-American countries except Brazil. Facu is commentator in F1 races for that exclusive and brand-new motorsport channel.

The problem for Zeta was Felix Porteiro's father. It was some very complicated and stupid story, I don't think we should put any blame for it to Regalia.
But today Vaxiviere... he seems to be favorite for pole!? |

The thing is that Zeta and/or Comtec should potentially manage to get driver(s) for Monaco because, well, it's Monaco, drivers and sponsors are always going to be drawn to the event given it's stature. If they do, the main issue then as always is whether they've got the budget for the rest of the season or whether they are just one-off outings (Andrea Roda for Comtec in Monaco last year for example).
Speaking of one-offs, the Monaco FR3.5 weekend is nestled neatly between the Pau and Monza European F3 rounds - could we see one of the F3 gang tempted to make an appearance maybe? |

Here is the Porteiro story: http://www.f1news.ru/news/wsr-102242.html
And interview with Novikov about Regalia: http://www.f1news.ru/interview/novikov/102989.shtml He has signed, paid half of one day testing and nothing else. I think it all revolves around Porteiro, because w/o his actions, there would be no reason for Regalia to go from a championship fighting team to Comtec. Anyways, absolutely fantastic job by Lotus! Also Malja is surprisingly fast, many favorites disappointed. |

The red button wont be visible until they start broadcasting the event but and dont get me started on this, when they showed Indycar on the red button it was accessible for some viewers and not for others.

Great start to the season for Rowland! I didn't see the race, but it sounds like he just comfortably controlled things knowing that van Buuren would get a penalty post-race. He has a pretty decent record at Aragon - 3 races, 3 podiums, 2 wins!
I've seen a clip of the start and you have to admit that was a pretty balsy move from van Buuren - he compromised Vaxiviere a bit but he just about got away with it. Apart from his jump-start, you have to say he was excellent today and certainly one of the surprises of the event so far. I have to say I feel sorry for Visser, with her pace so far this weekend a top 10 result would definitely have been possible I think. On the flip side, I'd like to see more from de Vries, I know he's a rookie but I expected him to be a little bit closer to the front. |

Q2 is just about to start and it looks like it's wet! Egor Orudzhev has a reputation for being brilliant in these conditions so it'll be interesting to see how he does.
*EDIT* WSR_live just tweeted that it's a wet track but they are on slicks. Last edited by WSR Fan; 26 Apr 2015 at 07:57. |

Wow, what an end to that race! de Vries must be kicking himself after that, he almost had it in the bag but credit to Vaxiviere for piling on the pressure. I was surprised that he pitted the same time as de Vries, but when you consider the pace advantage he seems to have at this track it wasn't that bad a call in the end.
Another solid result for Rowland, who is the championship leader after Aragon. And great results for Ellinas and Dillmann in fourth and fifth |
