corsair should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Sorry to contradict you but the Corsair is not 9 inches longer in the wheelbase, Corsair is 101 inches and Cortina 98.250. Overall length Corsair is 176.250 and Cortina 170.5. Extra length in the floor pan of the Corsair is a strip added in just in front of the rear seat. As an aside do you have any info on the Corsair Estates used by Fords as service cars? Welcome, Paul.

Also apologies to Yuk; somehow, I missed your post. Sadly, I'm unable to answer your enquiry.

I bought a photo of Jim Clark in a Lotus Cortina on Fleabay last week. It's a shot from Snetterton, 1963 and shows him in a car registered 167 RUR and probably taken at Coram with another Lotus Cortina parked on the grass on the outside of the corner.

The interesting point is that the opening post in this thread only refers to 166 RUR and 168 RUR.

When I was a youngster I was very lucky that my Dad new Roger Clark's parents. Knowing that I was mad on cars (and still am 50 years later), they used to give me pictures of Roger in action.
Here are 4 captioned: Roger Clark / Brian Melia 1966 Monte Carlo Rally.

The next three pictures are titled "Ford win Scottish Rally", but I've a feeling that red Cortina 2 ANR (Clark Family registration) was not a full works car (and probably 'only' a Cortina GT, not a Lotus.

Finally white Cortina 2 ANR on the 1964 Scottish rally. This really does look like a Cortina GT, and a picture of the young man himself!

Anyone got any information on KPU 388C, pictures and so forth, I have seen an image of it being races by Sir John but any history of its life would be interesting.

KPU 388C

Dear Muggins
Thank you for asking but unfortunately I can't add anything to whats easily found on the internet. My database is all about the rally cars, not the race cars.

Regards
J

The only one that I remember was 392C ? that John had in his garage about 30 odd years ago when he lived just up the road to me in the UK.
