Track Days for Le Mans Fans
This would bring a smile to most peoples faces, a UK company are running track days at the Le Mans Bugatti circuit.
You get two days on the track in November for your hard earned cash, to thrash your prised possession around your favorite track - well atleast part of it Sounds like a great early Christmas present, just have to persuade she who must be obeyed that she does'nt need that holiday next year. |

Do we have any idea of just how much "hard-earned cash" its going to take? Knowing the ACO, rather a lot I suspect......

Six hundred and fifty of your english pounds, for upto 7 hours of track time a day with an open pit for you to have a go at those all important quick pit stops!!!!!!
This also includes some hospitality. |

I've seen that ad. There is a lot of track time and looks well thought out couple of days. Also additional drivers don't cost too much IIRC. Always a problem with track days. One car, but if you have an extra driver it can (sometimes) almost double the cost for no more extra time on track (for the car!).
Anyway. Other similar days I have seen have been for Spa. IIRC these have been slightly cheaper (although each changes with time on track etc... so don't compare directly). Unless I was doing these all the time I'd chose Spa over Bugatti. Still I bet it'd be a fun couple of days and would be great to just be in those pits for a coupel of days |

The Indy 500 and the IRL have a different approach....
They have a two-seat IRL Car (you sit behind the professional driver)with a somewhat de-tuned engine (but no "wimp out" power set-up) and for $650, the pro driver takes you on "Hot Laps" on teh track.... At Indy the "real" racers tour the 2 1/2 miles at a high 220s to low 230s mph.... In the two-seater, you're doing laps in the 190-195 mph range, but they are running the racing line etc.... They fill up very fast whenever the offer it because they can only do so many people in a given time period.... I know a guy who did it and he said he'd go again in a heartbeat... |

£650 eh? I don't reckon that's so bad for what seems to be on offer......
