I've never met Jason Richards...to be honest before his illness was first posted on here I hadn't heard of him before...

But having had close family members and many (too many) friends and family over the years afflicted with cancer, I have followed this thread with interest, keen to hear any news of his condition. I've been touched by the warmth and compassion shown throughout, clearly he was held in very high regard by his peers, and by many members of Ten-Tenths.

Whenever I saw a new post had been added to the thread I always opened it with some trepidation, not wanting to read the news I read today. I feel genuinely sad to hear of his passing, and would like to offer my condolences to his family, friends, fellow racers, and to those here who have been touched by his story, and who also will feel sadness at his death.

The initial intent of this thread was to keep the wishes and good thoughts for Jason at front of mind, to keep the good fight going. And it did.. for many months more than most medicos thought it would.
