HRT & Pirtek Livery on truck!

Just was looking at the photo's of the latest Konica round and saw the HRT and Pirtek Liveries on the side of the official V8 Supercar Truck. http://www.v8supercar.com.au/photoga...pnum=3&pset=CS
What can I say but the new HRT livery looks awesome and the Pirtek car is a major disappointment. It looks like SBR have concentrated on building the car and forgot they had to put a livery on it. You would of thought that they would have made it look as good as the Caltex car. Hrt have gone for a more aggressive look from what I can see. What do all of you think about each livery.

I notice the truck has "V8 Supercar Tenth Anniversary" on the top right.

So they're acknowledging that the category did exist before 1997, are they?

I think it' funny that a couple of the drivers were decided to be too ugly to show on the truck so they left their helmets on!

No technically it's tenth year will be 2007. Up until 1997 it was still the ATCC not the V8 Superbillycart Championship. Just another example of Cochranes distorted view on the past.

The Pic of the Pirtek Car looks like the Front of the Ford has been pushed in. Was hoping that was NOT the final Pirtek Livery.

Scott75,

I guess that SBR have never heard the "all show, no go" line...

They still called it the ATCC till the end of 1998 though.

It says 10th Anniversary, not 10th year. So it is the 10th year of the V8 only* championship regime.

* This is to note that there were some years where other cars which were not V8s were allowed in - but that's just getting picky, as I do

Nothing wrong with being picky

The first V8 only year for the championship was 1995. Steve Ellery raced his 2 Litre Ford Sierra at Amaroo in 1994.

As WDJ said, why are they all of a sudden paying attention to the past?
