Great front row, especially for the fans. Looking foe Webber to race with blinders on. Should be fun.

McLaren may be having their woes but Ferrari weren't doing much better either today, Alonso and Massa 10th and 12th.

The whole McLaren thing is now becoming a farce, bordering on a national disgrace. No, they don't have Newey, but neither does anyone else aside from Red Bull. You have to wonder what on earth is going on behind the scenes at Woking, and you have also to sympathise 100% with the plight of Jenson and Perez, who deserve far better. To see them fannying around trying to get into the top half of the grid in a dog of a car which is so slow it can barely get out of its own way is dispiriting beyond belief.

Time for some Ronspeak?

Time for new leadership and direction I think. You can't help thinking that McLaren have too many irons in too many fires and need to refocus.

Laying my feelings on the line, I also don't rate Sam Michael. Cant see what he did at Williams, now hes at McClaren, still cant see it. Ron must be seething, fifth of the losers at the moment.

If the Scales were out of Calibration, I would have appealled against that in my kart racing team days...and won!

I also recall when one of my drivers loaned to someone elses team as a favour (in British Championship karting) was marginally under weight, he had his drivers license endorsed as if it was his fault!

Dumb Rules, as if such a tiny amount would make any differance to Di Resta's performance anyway!

It's very tough on Paul di Resta (and the whole team) but underweight is Underweight. No-one would deliberately cheat on weight because they know they will be found out. And whatever the magnitude of the discrepancy, the penalty is to be thrown out. We've all been there.

Totally agree - I really don't understand why he appears to be so highly rated.

I think they're allowed to be half a kilo out (to account for scale calibration) but Di Resta was 2 kilos under so a net 1.5 after you take away the free half kilo. Not a lot but under weight is under weight.

**** luck for Di Resta though - how many times has he been screwed over by things outside his control this season?

It's interesting you say that, as I've heard it pronounced both way for many years.

I never was sure how to say "Kubica." I've heard it like how it's spelled; like kyoo-bi-ku. I've also heard kyoo-beet-su.

National Disgrace? Hardly worthy of that moniker I think - they are just a race car team after all, not running the NHS.

As for Ronspeak, if you can explain how someone talking and/or shouting at the team is going to completely redesign a car before the next race (or indeed the end of the season), you should be on the apprentice. Once you have a bad car, there's not a whole lot you can do until you design a new one. That doesn't happen overnight, and it doesn't happen just because Ron says so.

No, Lulu's got a tyre failure and Vettel now leads.

He managed to get the car back to the pits with minimal damage and get a new left rear.
