Sounds good Diz, but, our last championship race in Northern Ireland is on the 25th September.
Given how the NI boys run when they come over, and the fact that they took up 5 of the top 10 places at the FFF last year, I feel your quest for the best FF1600 drivers might not be an accurate reflection. Perhaps a mutually convenient venue and date could be sorted out for next year involving all of the FF1600 championships. I am sure someone would put the money up for some realy good trophies. It could be a FF1600 only meeting if enough wished to enter with heats, semi's and finals. A FF1600 british champion could be crowned afterwards. What do you think? |

Lee,
Have a word with Richard Young. I'm sure he'll move your last round for you. I suppose the WHT is the closest we're going to get for now. |

What Lee describes does sound suspiciously like the WHT, doesn't it?

WHT is in December isn't it? ....If so, it's not the ideal time of year for sorting out the best of the best, I don't think....more like the bravest from the brave, or daftest of the daft?
Best time for this would be late summer/autumn when everyone is really in to their racing and should be at their best. Then we would see some top racing. Incidentally I am hoping to watch the WHT this year...I've never been. What's the date for it? |

The WHT really wouldn't work if championships were being contested. The early November date is the ideal one in my opinion.

I'm up for marshalling this one - I know I'm not racing but it sounds too good NOT to be there!

This is definitely on. Entry fee details will follow soon - in the haggling stage at present. As we speak [or rather as I type] it is still Sunday only, but we are still trying to get on the Saturday bill as well.

Darlington & District Motor Club
Croft 25th & 26th Formula Ford Race Having read the comments about this race and various other things. If we get the suppoort for the race we will make sure the trophies are worth having, at the moment we only have room for a single round the entry fee will be £165 which will includes a free ticket for the driver to the much reknowned DDMC BBQ on the Saturday night. I look forward to a full grid!(plus reserves) Steve Gibson Secretary of the Meeting |

Do you apply for photography passes through the club or circuit?

I've been speaking to David Dalton today and I'm sold on the steaks alone. I also hope we get loads of entries. Please keep plugging away to turn it into a double header if at all possible, or - at least- practice and race on the same day. It doesn't matter if that is Saturday or Sunday. Ian |

Paul,
Photography/Media personel passes are all dealt with by Croft Circuit, but as DDMC & Croft area friendly bunch there should not be to much problem. Chris. |

The Supplementary Regulations are now available, anyone requiring entry forms etc. please e-mail name and address and number of sets required to news@darlington-motor-club.org.uk. Entries will be on first come first served basis so going by the interest posted here get your entries in ASAP. At the present this remains a single race but if circumstances permit this will be increased to a double header this would lead to a increase in the entry fee

Well here we go, the first entry form has been requested from Ireland. That means there is only 27 guaranteed entries left! Everyone else will be reserves, LOL
