Driver of the race: Brazilian GP 2005

We've had a cracking race between two teammates and a new champion crowned. Another smashing Interlagos race.

My vote for driver of the day is pretty obvious: JPM. His lack of speed, skill, fitness and his gross obesity really told today I have to say.

Alonso also was very mature and calm.

And Schuey popped up in fourth place there, ahead of some guy in a Renault.

Who does your vote go to?

I am going to vote for Michael.

I don't think I have voted for him yet this year. I think it is justified this race. I think he got more out of the car in qualifying and the race than it "deserved", characterised by a solid race where he hooked everything up and did what needed to be done.

I guess it's the season in microcosm for Michael.

A good drive, yet not many will have picked up on that you feel.

I vote for Montoya too. He kept his word and remained on the lead, with a solid drive.

I went with Michael this time around. Got alot out of the car, when there was not much to get.

I also hope Dr. Theissen will consider this race a good one in his evaluation of JV. Starting from the pits, he was faster than and finished just behind his team-mate Massa who started the race from P8.

JPM was solid. He easily passed Alonso at the start and kept ahead all the time. He also kepy Kimi behind and wasn't losing anything per lap to him. Great drive!

Monty for me too. Great pass on Alonso. Excellent pace throughout. What more could he have done? I realise this will not convince those who've practically labelled Kimi a god but JPM looks to be his equal at the moment. In his first year at Mclaren too.

Michael did a good job getting the Ferrari that high up, but my driver of the day was JPM. Another fantastic performance - having taken time to settle (and get over his injury) he really looks like he's relishing the challenge Kimi gives him.

I was doubting between Montoya and Schumacher, but since Montoya didn't drove the race fastest lap, I choose for Schumacher.

Montoya has my vote. It's a shame Klien didn't follow through on his qualifying form, but at least it turns out he was high on the grid through merit and not abnormally low fuel.

Montoya was flawless all weekend. He was 2nd with a lot more fuel than Alonso on board, and he dominated proceedings comfortably in the race.

There were some good moves out there today. TGF's move on Fisi on the first lap into Ferradura was fantastic. Sideways over the kerb, the guy is still trying. Wonderful. However I am not sure whether Michael gets it or Montoya.

I could not decide between Montoya and Schumacher, so I tossed a coin.

Schumacher for me as well. He did the most of all the rest with he equipment he has. Montoya should have been on pole, and considering his position over Kimi at the start, he didnt show the speed to convince me that he would have won had Kimi started ahead of him of even right behind him. In other words his drive did not stand out as being special. To win was expected considering his qualifying advantage and the superiority of the mclaren.

My obvious vote went to Montoya, good race, he proved he's dominating at interlagos, hope he can get 2 more wins this season.

JPM loves Interlagos, was leading when Verstappen hit him in 2001 (debut season), 2002 I believe he was on the podium (?), 2003 he crashed out (who didn't), and the last two years he has won it. He got my vote from Michael, but only just. The reason? He comfortably beat Kimi "The Next Best Thing" Raikkonen in equal machinery.

Michael got my vote for a classic performance. Montoya would have got it otherwise for being totally flawless.

I don't know why Kimi has got two votes - he was obviously outclassed by his team-mate this time round, albeit only by a small degree.

Alonso's race was also quite brilliant for its utter professionalism - he was still able to be aggressive when possible, but popped up on to the podium yet again to secure the goods.

Montoya gets it for bringing home his vastly superior car in first place,although DC,MW and AP get 10 out of 10 for entertainment value.

And the "cracking race between two team mates",where was that,did i miss something.Certainly wasn't the Mclarens,they seemed to back off and keep their distance knowing that Alonso was already pacing himself to the end.

You can't really blame McLaren for thinking about making those engines last the distance - most likely the next failure will cost them the WCC, considering the excellent relibility of the Renault.
