[V8DVS10R04] Fujitsu Series @ Townsville

With a number of pilots allegedly out of funding for this round, even though there are financial incentives for teams to show up here, the larger question is who will show up as opposed to who will win

MWR may be down to 1 car, GMR may only have one, Jay may not appear.. while some series regulars who are out of any kind of contention seem to be regrouping for next year!

I would think Mr Owen will be strong here, the car isnt top flight when compared to the WP-tuned Egg-mobile.. but the former Tasmaniacs seem to be preparing solid, reliable cars..

Mr Owen for the win?

Perhaps not, a buyer is allegedly in the wind for that car.. if it is sold, it is not likely to run with Mr Perkins aboard, so he shall have to source another chassis. Lucky PMM have a few spares

No Jack Perkins and no David Reynolds (can this be right?) but a few new/returning faces. Bruce Oaklands is in the ex Perkins VZ, and Ben Eggleston has dusted off the ex Dynamik VZ (or his his entry now the Reynolds entry). The Fiores seem to be running the BF this time.

Eggleston's other licence number is 54, so that seems to be the case with the Reynolds entry

Any idea on the identity of the Red Lion Racing Team VZ? Bruce Oaklands competed in the Australian Touring Car Challenge a few years ago, but this was in a VS.

Eggleston Motorsport would have had the car prepared and they wouldn't be going to Townsville unless someone is footing the bill. With Baird driving the car will still run close to the front and Jax will probably get a bit of signage on the Dumbrell car as part of the deal.
