A terrible blow for Alonso fans.
If he is soo good why McLaren didn’t go for him?
The only explanation I have is that they did not wanted to annoy Minardi Fan…LOL |

For those of you who don't know Ferrari actually tried to get Alonso at the end of last year. The deal was that he would go to Prost until he had enough experience to join Ferrari. Alonso rejected the contract because he didn't want to be stuck at Prost for a long time so he signed with Briatore

So then where is he next year then?!?!? No-one has answered that question!!!
Hasn't he already got a contract with Minardi anyway next year. As for where he may go, I don't see him going to either McLaren or Ferrari. He's being groomed at Minardi so he can drive for Renault later on, most likely beside Trulli. It appears Renault this time around will not be the home of just Frenchies. (a la Prost, Arnoux, Tambay, Jabouille who all drove for the team at one stage or another. Cheever and Warrick were the only non-Frenchies) |
