Mail me if you want a second opinion on the car, I'm quite happy to spend a Sunday coming to look at it with you.

Anything to see another CRX on the grid...

As Tomcat racer said who's CRX was/is it?

I also have a 'used' CRX road car if you or Jamie need any bits or the whole car.

The Extreme car is supposed to be a very clean car and unused for a number of years.

Good question, I'd like to know that too. I'd be up for a few races with similar cars..

Christmas came quickly!

I'm planning to do Pre 93 if club membership and race costs are sensible. or as I suspect there will be more 'all comers' races I may still pick and choose.

Of course all of this is complicated by the small matter that I'm going to be dad at the end of November so may just be chatting on here!

Sorry Colin,

This thread was about to fall of the page so I shamelessly ‘bumped’ it back to the top.

Does anyone know when next seasons Pre 93 regs will be finalised? Or I assume they will be similar to now.

Why not ask the question on the public section of the CTRCC forums, I believe JohnW is working on them at the moment.

I hope they don't change too much; the car is being built to the letter of this year's regs, and I can't really afford to go changing much.

Well, except maybe some lower weight limits, hey Al?

yeah I think thats probably more likely to get attention because John was asking for competitors to submit their car weights on the site, being a fat git I also asked for drivers weight to taken into the equation. I think tyres may being looked into as well but as they (Toyo or Dunlop) don't do a cover in the standard size on my car and I cannot change diameters from standard (245 x 16 x 50 standard size as left the factory) I think some consessions may have to be concidered but I am not really in a position to say at this time.

Incidently I intend to run the IROC car in the pre 93's next year even if I have to downgrade it in a couple of minor areas as I am not too sure anymore about Classic Thunder to be honest but things are hopefully changing a bit there to accomadate ModProds so I will monitor the situation and keep an open mind at this stage.

It's got a Dinosaur motorsport plate on it so may be one of Dean Clements old cars, or supported cars.

Are you bidding on this Colin? planning to set up your own rover team? there is a 'Stubby' ebay id bidding on it as I speak.....

Well I'm sad to report that a piece of history - Steve Alderton's old CRX - will be undergoing major surgery this winter... Its going to THE DARK SIDE...
VTEC!
We've bought a low mileage B16A1 to drop in there for more power.

However when we do the repairs to the car and change the engine, I have persuaded my team boss (ahem, dad) to keep it in the same colour scheme when we respray it.

Sorry Mark and Colin, but no more D16 16v for our car! Does that make me ineligible?
