sceptic should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
GPRM, who make a lot of the components for these cars, do appear to be pretty poor at actually supplying those parts.

I've heard teams reporting lead times of 12 weeks or more. That's simply not good enough. They know they have to supply 32 cars, so they should be able to fulfil those orders with parts off the shelf.

Much better, although still not the exciting 'breaking the mould' promised in the earlier PR.

Looks a bit better. It seems that he might have fallen out with the company who did the test wrap and ended up with that mess on media day, which looked nothing like the initial sketch.

Jack Clarke will be in the GT4 SuperCup. Interesting.

Shame, because his final race was mega.

Anyway, shall we go back on topic???

It looks like grid numbers are up in all the championships this season which is good news. As things stand we should expect the following numbers.

BTCC: 29
Ginetta Juniors: 26
Renault Clio Cup UK: 18
MSA Formula: 20
Ginetta GT4 Supercup: 16
Porsche Carrera Cup GB: 28

These numbers are confirmed entries so unless something goes drastically wrong with any entry, we should expect at least those numbers on the grid.

Only one Infiniti will make Brands...

When I saw the article on BTCC.Net about them testing I thought it was an April fool.

Whether their late technical issue was genuine or not, only one car will make it to Brands. Wonder how 'fast' it will be?

The story doesn't really add up.

They talk about completing a successful test and "ticked off all the boxes" but then say they had a "late technical problem". Both of those statements can't be true. If the second car was available then surely they would have at least tried to run some laps in it.

Given that the team had already said they would probably only have 1 car at Brands, this seems like some unnecessary spin.

That's because there was 1 x Infinity and 0 x Welch!

Tony Gilham seemingly building another CC, presumably ending the Volvo plans.

Probably because any brands with even the slightest interest in any possible motorsport involvement would have a slight eye on the series, remember that rent-a-driver reason of '13. Plus, there are many capable teams who would more fit any project where some kind of involvement could be a possibility

Is it me or does he sound somewhat bitter that BMR have taken over the VWs and is turning into a top team?

Would not be surprised if he is and who can blame him.

Spoke to Warren about Tony at Thruxton and Warren said that Tony is a good bloke with good ideas, he just couldn't do it financially.

I wish Gilham all the best and hope he will succeed. I feel he gets a lot of undeserved 'booing'.

If someone saved me from financial ruin, I wouldn't be bitter, I'd be very grateful that I'd been given another chance.

And presumably he didn't want to be a part of BMR, he wants to go and chase the dream himself again. I just feel he needs to take it a bit easier than last time, he's far too ambitious. Why not run the Toyota for a year or two, get some respectable results (not with Gallagher though) and then expand?

Here we go as expected!
