My being a moderator has nothing to with it. If you don't like the name Indy Racing League or IRL being used, I suggest you write to the Hulman Georges, after all it's their company.

Montoya even spoke on television about using Power and Pagenaud's set ups throughout the season.

I'm quite sure teams share data and set ups and why not but RLLR have done fantastically well considering they don't; top Honda in both this season and last. It would seem RLLR have had less of an uphill struggle than fellow Honda competitors like Andretti Autosport, who field a multi-car team.

Maybe having a multi-car team is actually a hindrance. With all that data flowing around, it might make it difficult to choose the appropriate information to use. With one car that problem doesn't arise and compared to other Honda competitors, Graham Rahal has certainly mastered the set up of the DW 12.

One of the criticisms leveled at Bobby Rahal, was there was too much hands on. Since he's taken more of a back seat, the results have started to come their way.

This is kind of surprising. Yet, there is another open seat left on another Honda team: #8 Ganassi.
Andretti works better as a 4 car team than just 3. But Chip might prefer Sato over Chilton. After all, Sato fought with his man Dario for the lead of the Indy 500 once on the penultimate lap of the race...

I haven't seen anyone calling F1 "Formula One Management" or "CVC Capital" or "Delta Topco". The holding company is not the name of the racing series

This was the word from Andretti about their fourth car last week:

If you read the article there were no actual quotes confirming Sato, only that he'd been talking to multiple Honda teams.

To get back on topic, do you think further driver/car combinations will be confirmed before the end of the year. As of today, Sato to Andretti, Aleshin remaining at Schmidt, the 4th Ganassi, the KV car and the road/street portion of the split schedule of the 2nd Ed Carpenter Racing car are not yet confirmed.

Also, do you think KV Racing Technologies will run as many cars at the Indy 500 next year as they did this year. To be honest, with that team's current situation, I'm afraid it might be hard to find enough teams to get 33 entries on the entry list for the Indy 500.

All of them except KV will be confirmed by year's end. We've already seen most of the grid in place within 2 months of the season ending, which is a big improvement over 2015.

Also, do you think KV Racing Technologies will run as many cars at the Indy 500 next year as they did this year. To be honest, with that team's current situation, I'm afraid it might be hard to find enough teams to get 33 entries on the entry list for the Indy 500.
They ran 2 cars this year (including the #61 in conjunction with Team Murray), don't see why that would change in 2017.

Alex K has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Serralles is testing in Abu Dhabi, he's test schedule is quite busy this off season, but I really doubt he'd bother if he had something solid with #8, or other teams that have seats opened. And re. #25 AA I wrote in Indy Lights thread... although Sato has insufficient funds, or maybe Michael is waiting for someone like Stoneman to come up?!

Your guess is as good as mine on where Serralles goes for 2017.

Andretti have been talking to Sato, Aleshin and probably other drivers we don't know about - as the man (Rob Edwards) said, an announcement is due before the winter break.
