Porsche 904 or R60 type. Is this the answer?

After a few years have decided that we have to shuffle the pack

See no reason to keep all those Pre War cars and think replacing some of them with 904/Rs60.

Decided need cars that gets me round the lanes of East Anglia rather than lap times at Silverstone, Spa etc

Nearly joined the B8 / 2 litre sports car brigade but decided been there and done it!
Anyone with ideas that may widen my horizons

904's are very pretty cars, but comfortable on the road? RS60 has no roof, so you lose half the year unless you like getting cold and wet.

at the other end of the market I've got whiff of a Sunbeam Harrington LeMans

Trust you to come up with a left field answer
Remember seeing a race featuring lots of NSUs at Ring in 64
They are really good cars as I tested one about ten years ago and good fun
Saves me lots of dosh!

356sc should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Both will be dwarfed by modern traffic...I know when Dad drove one on the road he was terrified of whether he had been seen or not!

Most classics are dwarfed by modern family vans with windows, even a MK1 transit is smaller than what most toddlers get ferried about in.

105's are fairly prominent though.
