Yes indeed it was, also other mags did articals on it after I had restored it.Only met Johns wife a couple of times, just to keep her update on the cars progress. There was a deal done at time of purchase that nothing from John would be sold until after she had passed on.A deal that was completely honoured.

I hope it brings back great memories...Im certainly not going to change it much....its good to have a bit of British motorsport history as you will know. To be honest I am not sure what I will do with it..but would love to get it back on the track where it belongs.....From memory can you tell me the spec of the engine...of course it could have changed but from what I have noticed it has a skimmed

TR6 head with flat top pistons...with the flat top pistons its possible it may have the 2.5 crank, rods and pistons..is this correct? head has been ported to a degree also.....

Certainly one of the most tunable engines there is.John Wood-ex Cambridge motorsport,is probably the best there is on these engines

Reet grand, historic racing as it really was, and as it should be today, not as the FIA insists how it was.

Here is the car finished outside my shed in Sonning. I guess this would of been early 1976. We had our first test at Goodwood later that year.Little did i know that a few years later Robert Plant would be living across the road , also that bloke that bends spoons and George Clooney and his Mrs
At the corner of the yard lived a very prominent lawyer who became a good friend. He ended up being high Sheriff of Berkshire.
After we had started the engine one evening he stormed over to see us but not to tell me off for all the noise, but to say he was in the bath and the water was vibrating.Wonder if he thought of the hot tub idea. Happy days.

From that picture...zoomed in...means it still has the original engine....the head had the white paint on it same as in the picture....So how good is your memory regarding engine spec??
